Just sayin…..

Making one good Speedometer out of two. When I first got the LV, the speedo worked, but the Odometer only flipped the tenths wheel. I changed out the speedo and that odometer worked fine. Last fall on my way to the Petaluma Landcruiser show/swap meet, the Speedometer took a dump. Yesterday, I decided to tackle the old odometer. Thanks to Pete (Pics45) for sending me back the old speedo head!

I took the Odometer apart and found that it only needed the spindle and all the gears cleaned and re-lubed! Finally a use for the stem grease that's been in my tool box (well, transferred from toolbox to tool box) after 40 years!

I cleaned the numbers as good as I could. 59 years of sun and wear, well earned.

It works!

In my best Doc.👇🏻

As of late, I am giving a more than cursory attempt at conserving what little remains of my ill gotten propriety..

With that in mind It occurred to me, that given my propensity for misdemeanoring ingenuity and your natural gravitation pull toward the same, if we were neihbors by chance or happenstance, the neighborhood would by default, suffer from our semi-sophomoric escapades.

In truth, our maker in his wisdom, has deemed it frugal to separate our bohemian humor by three states. But, that does not interfere with my appreciation for your good natured repartee and witticism. :hillbilly::hillbilly::hillbilly::rofl::rofl::rofl:🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻

I'm changing the look of Olive. I have a new tub for her, but not the time for the project and spring is here! One more rusty season, but I still love driving this truck. I am switching up the look though, because I had stock grey steelies on her and the hardtop (or no top). Now going with gloss black factory steel wheels and a tan soft top. I like the new look so far. Just a few more things to do.

Sure wish I still had my dog though

Booooommm. The acorns/rims and soft top are spot on…you keeping the 70’s turn signals or going full old school with the early round lamps?

Also put on a Blazer brand 3rd brake light in a stock hub cap. Don't fight it use some sil-glide to pop it in. It wont go in without it.

You’re way wittier with words but…………………… I bet I draw better ferns than you!

I hadn't thought that far. I suppose I could do the signals. I kind of like the big, ugly newer signals too though
