Reassembling a 1982 FJ45 that I took apart a year ago, anyone know what this thing is?

It is inside the cabin, has a little clicker on it that can be depressed but springs back when released.

I stupidly forgot to label it when I took things apart.

Thanks

You really need to provide better pic's. Clip at the top looks like a jack rod retainer.

Did the later years have a dome light switch on the doors(s)? Looks like something like that.

I have never looked over a 78+ that close.

Thanks Dude, but wires are too short to reach the doors.

Could it a parking brake switch? Does this truck have a light to indicate when the parking brake is engaged? I should know that but i've never actually driven the truck, bought it last year and it wasnt running. Just finished an engine swap.

I’ll buy it from you if you can’t figure it out.

I think it’s a reverse light switch and bracket for a column shift 3 speed. It mounts to the steering box near the linkage.
