More LC always the right call lol. It’s tough to peel away from life to build a 40. They’ll try the patience of experienced builders. Seem like a simple vehicle but there are some definite nuances.
So true!

Being on the road is a lot better than taking 10 years to be perfect.
The spring green 71 I did a few years ago was like this. It was stripped in 1989 and I bought it in 2020. Boxes of Polaroids to show how it came apart. Most were so old they were just white.
They took it apart just for a “quick respray”.

I got to work with a Morgan, owner had passed but left his book with Polaroids and drawings. The internet is a huge advantage for these kinds of things. I had the tranny out 5 times, turned out he had used a HP Jag clutch that wasn’t allowing it to engage. Went back to 100% stock Triumph parts and flywheel and worked as it should.

Finally got around to replacing my 55 YO upper steering column bushings with Cruiser Cults rubber upper & inner steering column bushings, and (another) horn bushing from @red66toy aka Chase!!!

It should have taken no more than 20 mins but I broke the solder on the horn wire and had to make that repair. When one buys the upper steering bushings from Chase don't forget to get the OEM bullet connectors that you will need also for the repair.

I tried to find some trails with Lamar's grandson but everything is still gated off for snowmobilers.

One step closer to a fully functioning rear axle locker. I tried to un-pin the locker plug without success, I ended up using the Dremel and cut away the plastic enough to pull the pins out. I did test everything and was good to go and tidied everything up to then find it didn't work. So back to trouble shooting and resetting one of the loose pins and now its working. The only thing left is a hole through the firewall and mounting on the dash.

I removed the rear auxiliary fuel tank today as part of my Sniper project. I went back and forth on trying to retain it, but I think it is rusty. I put new filters on the lines and the fuel in this tank quickly turned yellow. The main tank is clean. I'm just going to simplify things and decided to remove it. The lift made it way easier.

Do you want to part with it? I would be interested if the money is right

Back in the mid 80's a seam in the OEM front tank started to weep in a seam. I bought the alcohol proof fuel tank liner treatment from JC Whitney. Followed the directions and the tank has never weeped since, even up to today. My 12.5 gallon rear aux tank from a Datsun B210 has issues. When summer rolls around I'll decide if I want to try and fix it or just make a new tank that better fits the space (like yours) and holds more gas.

There some "red" liner stuff that's POS stuff from what I read. Do some homework/review.
