Trying to fix my drivers seat...and unfortunately came across this.

So truck isnt drivable until i get a welder in...feels bad.

Some super glue will fix that right up. :)

Seriously?

Im quite a big dude and i want my seat to be anchored securely.

I was joking. Super glue would be a terrible idea.

Added a hazard switch to control my CDL. I have 93 so I cut the harness and extended it from the top bank of switches to the bottom. Works perfect, I may pop it out to relabel at some point.

Something I learned, my 93 does not require the removal of the left plastic key in the switch body. I guess it only applies to the 95-97 LCs. Wish I would have known that before I spent 15 minutes hacking it out.

New tires and wheels

My 80 got some new tires and wheels this weekend.
16” TRD wheels of a new FJ converted to real bead locks with some 315/75R16 Nitto Trail Grapplers

Cool. Pictures please. What is the left plastic key? (I have a 93 too)

Finally installed castors after OME 2.5" lift several months ago. Fairly simple. Cut out the old ones and used a really good vise I inherited to slide in new.

Got rid of almost all shake. Still a little bit at 75mph. Will get alignment and tires balanced when switching over to winter. Current tires are shot anyway.

I actually did the wire extension last weekend and just got my switch in yesterday. I will take some pictures the next time I have the dash off. I didn't hook up the remote lead on my head unit so I will need to do that to complete my stereo install.

As for the 'key' have a look at this post: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=7867492&postcount=5

This was not necessary for my earlier FZJ80.

Extending the harness was not hard but it is pretty short to begin with. I wound up stripping all the loom off and cutting it in the middle. I extended it about 12in.

Nice! I love those tires, need to update my sig to include them. What wheels are those?

in love with she the fzj80!! starting the project

i just bought a set of 285/75/16 goodyear mtr's for my 93 land cruiser and also ordered a warn winch with pulling force of 12000 lb i am planning to install it under the stock bumper!!! any ideas??

Needed to burn off a little steam after work...

Then started yanking crap from out of the engine bay. Removed the smog pump in part of my "longest de-smog" ever... Piece by piece. Also did the plugs, cap, rotor, and wires. PO had Bosch dual platinums in there. So glad to get those out...

Stupid step/nerf bars removed. They were held on by 3 bolts each... so ridiculously useless. It's "bulk-item" week for our trash, and a guy in a truck had already picked them up within 10 minutes being on the curb.

Then I started my latest brew. Double IPA...

Installed a new starter, EMS Powered intake tube, and built a bracket to adjust my rear brake load sensing valve. (embarrassed it took me so long to do that last one.:o)

Then towed the camper down to Cimarron, NM for the PSA reunion at Philmont Scout Ranch.

Went wheeling Friday night, cruiser did great and had to pull a bunch of people out.

Woke up in the morning to head out on another run just to see a puddle of power steering fluid under the truck. Blew a high pressure line, had to drive it home 40 miles with the ps disconnected, fun on 345's lol...

Time to have some new lines made and do a cooler while I'm at it...
