Awesome! Another clean black and gold rig. What sliders are you running?

...it did not start. I did get 25 feet of break line but now the car refuses to start!. it was not the EFI fuse I have a spare. It started 30min later and I have no idea why it decided to. I had just found a tow service. The fuel pump is new. previous owner replaced it. and I can confirm it because I have been in the tank to replace the filter on the end. maybe fuel pressure regulator or the coil is not working properly? I blame Friday the 13th.

I had this happen to me once. I disconnected the battery for a minute, then hooked it back up and the truck started right up. Never did it again (four years later). Figure it was probably the factory alarm, it would act flaky at times.

Decided to quarantine myself in Tahoe for the next week +. Went for a drive in the snow.

My buddy James, at Northside 4x4, in Clovis. He did the steering box brace/frame repair for me, last year.
Looking forward to the end result. I need to do something in the rear & I rather go tube.

YeaI don't think my 1991 has an alarm. but next time it does it I am trying that. I think it could be something to do with the fusible link thingy. I think I am going to replace it on mine just as a pm. The only other thing I think it could be is the fuel pressure regulator. maybe a short somewhere.

Over the past few weeks she's gotten some new springs, coolant love, some new vacuum lines, and an aftermarket oil pressure gauge.
Took her out for a shakedown near Four Peaks and Saguaro Lake.

Went to Azusa canyon this weekend on the way back home from military drill. Played for about an hour but it quickly gets old there.

Helped a full-size ford get out of the first water crossing on the way out. His 4WD took a dump, some electronic error he claimed. He was looking at me like I was going to walk in the water. I gave him the signal to walk or start swimming to hook up to his truck

As I was getting my strap back I asked how pissed was his wife. He shook his head and said very...lol.

Also seen another 80, 60 and an FJ. The guy with the FJ said his control arm came loose and used a wheel lug to limp out.

Front brakes overhaul. Cheaped out this time with NAPA pads, rotors, and calipers since I replaced these about two years ago with EBC pads and OEM rotors. The old NAPA calipers had seized pistons once again - not sure what’s going on there. Lifted the LSPV arm as high as it could go and now I think I’m getting more brake performance out of the rears.

Of course it sounds like I need new pads in the rear now :bang:

Back from college due to the outbreak. Doing some long awaited and neglected maintenance stuff on the cruiser. I actually had to leave the cruiser at home due to a awful oil leak that sprung from the front crank seal right before I went back to school.

So the list goes
Crank, Oil, and distributor seal
New Oil Pressure sender
100% New hoses including firewall hoses, radiator hoses, tranny lines, and of course the PHH (did all of these and the PHH wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be)
New distributor and cap ; plugs and wires
New Radiator (Oreily one was weeping from the top going TYC this time)
Denso starter
anddd eventually I have 4.88s sitting in the garage that may or may not go in I am over the 5.29s on the highway

Big thanks to @NLXTACY for caring all of this stuff and get it headed my way in a timely manner through all the crazy stuff happening right now.

Also enjoying some father son bonding with my dad who at the same time is pulling the motor out of his 79 cruiser with 350,000 miles on it to get rebuilt.
And on that note anyone know of a good shop in Colorado to take the 2F to get machined and maybe bored over a little?

Well had my first project in the new shop we just got finished building and getting the power turned on. First time in 12 years working on this thing in a garage out of the elements. Loving how comfortable it is and the lift making things much easier for the upper intake. Finally got around to pulling apart my hurt 80. Lost compression in cylinder #4. had 70psi while the rest had 195+. Smoked while running and metal in the oil when drained. Expecting the block to be toast when i pulled it apart looking at it from a bore-scope but found the block was perfect. Waiting on word back from the machine shop about the head which also looked good. No problems with the head-gasket which also looked perfect. Fingers crossed it's the head. Also found the machine shop had left the alignment bolt in when they put the cams back in when they rebuilt it years ago.

What’s up Andrew. I actually live in Woodmoor and am a avid garage rat if you guys ever need an extra hand. I just did the head gasket in my 80 and had my head work done down at Ehnes Rink on the south side of town. I didn’t have anything major done to it but I was happy with there service.

Started putting the water pump back on my 91. I had removed the little skid plate under the belts for access. Afterwards I was installing a new lower radiator to water pump hose and something fell and hit me in the face, it looked like a giant chunk of old crusty grease but it was really heavy and hurt like a SOB. I spent a few minutes cleaning it off and I am now really curious if anyone recognizes this thing. I think it might be an old busted part or something.
