Watching movie The Town!
When you’re done with your TV watchin you need to try one last thing with the old carb before you replace..

You need to try to suck out the plugged passages, I know what you’re thinking but hear me out..

Much like hiring a hooker to help you pass a kidney stone it may or may not work but what the heck let’s give it a try to suck that thing out it could be fun. First bring your engine up to a high speed RPM and pull the choke until the engine almost dies, do this several times (like three beers) or until you get bored then take it for a test drive, if everything worked as planed then we have a new carb to put on the shelf for when we really need it and if everything goes terribly wrong we have a three beer buzz.

This!

Son has the 76 Colt, sat for years, very slow & sputtering.
Warmed it up, drove it a bit, parked running…(pulled the stud outta the carb first) rev as high as you dare using WOT, gloved hand on carb until it almost dies. Repeat until hand is sore or so, worked like a charm.
😎

Yep, the old "<insert (in)appropriate ethnic reference here> tune-up."

The way I learned it is one guy puts the RPM up to ~1500-2000, and then the other "professional" (hooker, or other) puts their hands over the carb inlet until the engine almost dies.
Repeat a few times.
