This part is factory as far as I know. except 2 of the 4 wires were cut. Was there 2 brake circuits on a stock pig? Have I just bought 2 switches and they both went bad?

I thought your pig was 1970ish?This part is factory as far as I know. except 2 of the 4 wires were cut.
the switch I got 2x now.
So that is where I am at. I am going to try to install one more time tonight. Not sure if maybe the pedal forces the switch button to go in at an angle or what. If it doesn't work I will drive it to Steve using the thumb brake light trick. I make it Steve's problem. I don't have the tools or the head space for that crap right now.Going to need more information from you if you want help.
- Are both switches bad? One is def bad. It is working in the reverse. I have to push the button down about 3/4 of the way to turn on the brake like. The second one seems to be fine when I test it just hanging from the dash. It works perfectly fine but once I install and test to see if I am at the right depth, it breaks the fuse.
- How did you test them to determine they are bad? I checked the new one again yesterday outside of the install location and it is fine. I put a test light up against it as I pushed the button a few times to make sure it was not shorting to the casing. I held it up to the brake pedal and dash too.
- Did something in your wiring kill the switches or are they just junk? I was thinking there was some sort of hot on the dash or brake pedal that was causeing but I have no indication of that with the testing I did.
- Why do you have three wires going to your plug? There is only 2 wires going to the plug. the other 2 are cut.
- Do you still have the factory wiring harness, hybrid of old and new or completely new? There is some Painless wiring, some sort of Toyota wiring. The column and a few other bits are toyota. Not sure if they at 1970 toyota though.

I believe your issue is in the wiring.View attachment 2813415
I think it must be grounding out internally and when it is installed it's killing the fuse. Any insight?
I like that idea if the recirc when you have heat OFF in the cab.Cable Operated Bypass Heater Valve, Pull to Open #25-1018 Amazon product ASIN B00LEUVB30
So the 2 lines need to circulate at all times. That is why people buy the U piece of tube to connect the 2 together. So a regular in-line valve is bad for the water pump when you close off to the heater core. This valve let's it circulate at all times whether it is just going back to the motor or going thru to the heater.
I watched a video. I will try to find it again.
I also have new seat belts for the front that will lock directly into the seats instead of the old floppy receiver. I guess its "Safety 3rd" around here.Much better than a/c, braking and handling! Pig logic at its best!
