That is not a happy feeling...The rings picked up by the machinist have end gaps much larger than the OEM specs.

Improvement, but still not in line with gap spec for OEM bore, or what Sealed Power is spec'ing, eh?Surprised to come home yesterday and see the new Sealed Power piston ring set on the dining room table. Went down and checked the top and second ring in #1 cylinder to see how they compared to the previous set.
Top ring gapped out at .020” and the second gapped at .022”, which is a huge improvement.

So that screenshot is from Summit’s website. I have yet to find anything giving me a 100% answer that the OEM gaps must be mirrored when the cylinders are bored.Did you consult Scripture for end gap guidance when bored 20 over?
