Anyone figured out how to get the AC idle up function to work?
speaking of which got a quick question... started to work on my harness again since it’s a rainy day here in Texas... but going of LT1swap site for the pin out he talks about removing the ac connections.. in our setup we’re using them right to run ac?
Use:
pin 43 on the green which is AC compressor clutch relay
Not using:
Pin 14 AC refrigerant pressure sensor
Pin 80 Low reverence AC
Right now I'm just using the wire off of the toyota harness for engaging the ac compressor. It works but the idle dips momentarily. Trying to figure out how to use the gm ecu more for that.
Ok so using the gm ac connector but wired to the Toyota harness to engage the ac compressor.
I haven’t removed the ac wires yet from the ecu. I think I’ll leave the wires there until it can be figured out how to control it via PCM however I have a 2004 so it uses the HVAC to control the ac. I saw a post that rockrod had an idea to use the hvac control and just mount it behind the dash but it would be controlling the idle up and memory I’ll leave the wires there but not connected for now and just use the Toyota harness.

HFS4x4 reached out to me before I decided to tackle this myself. I believe they're out East Coast. From their site, looks quality.

If I weren't doing the swap myself I would have them do it for me. the swaps I saw in the shop were nice. Plus they are good guys.

if I had to use a shop for LS in 80 I’d look real hard at @NCFJ

I’m sure I could pull it off myself as well. But I’m doing a 3RZ swap into my sons 1980 pickup and starting a rebuild of the 22RE in my other sons truck. Not sure I want to be dealing with 3 motors at the same time.
May want to check out tlc4x4 as well. Proffitt's also seems to do a nice job.

Both are on my radar. Thanks. Probably on the upper end of the cost scale with both of those but the work is quality.
Last I heard proffitts is about 25k, could be wrong. Afaik tlc4x4 charges 100/hr which is cheaper than I thought it would be if that's correct
@Box Rocket Also might be worth checking out The Land Cruiser Shop and Mosley Motors. I spoke with them when going down this road and wanted to use them, but distance and shipping costs were an issue. It's on the wrong coast for you, but I'm using HorsePower Solutions out of Newport News. They are a few hours away from me and have one of the cleaner swaps I've seen, plus experience with the 6-speed and drive by wire. They did the job for @azcrackshot who has some pics here on MUD. They aren't cruiser specific, but I'm not sure what's more important for this swap; a shop that knows the LS, or a shop that knows the cruiser. With several mud-supporting cruiser shops doing these now, it seems you can get the best of both worlds.
I'm midway through now, so hope to report back with final results.

I was at Tanner 4x4 in Colorado Springs last week. They were doing an LS swap on an 80 at the time. Looked good! And Pete said they connect all the functions like the cruise control and AC idle up. Might be closer for you.

all i did hooked wire from old toyota a/c clutch to gm clutch flushed all R12 stuff and filled the system with r134 Freon and some PAG oil with no problems with idle and inside cab is like fridge when a/c is on
Yours probably acts different than mine because you have electronic throttle.
