I'm looking for a later model, 84-87 FJ60, a truck that can be enjoyed and driven daily, fixed and updated along the way. I would like to spend under 10K, but that is negotiable pending vehicle condition and modifications. I'm located in San Antonio, Tx, willing to travel <1000 miles to pick up.

I prefer tan, white, silver, brown, sub 200k miles if possible. Looking for a dependable weekend cruiser to explore the world. Reliable enough to get me to the country and back, family and dogs included.

Need:
Cancer free, minimal rust
Mechanically sound, Solid 2F engine/rebuilt, knuckles rebuilt, the major stuff

Want:
OME 2.5-3" Lift, 33 tires
T55 transmission
V8 conversion
De-smogged

Thanks G-Cat, I've had my eye on this one for a few months. Just not sure of the engine swap. But it does have a lot of stuff I like. I'm talking to the owner on Mud.

How are you with wiring? Or do you know someone who enjoys/is good at it? If you can figure that out on the one gcat posted it looks like a solid start. Otherwise I would wait for a good old fashioned 2F powered one to pop up. Depending on your mechanical/electrical prowess the 2f is a great intro to tinkering. 350 isn't far behind though

I get by with wiring, have installed auxiliary equipment, nothing like a FI wiring harness, but I'm sure I'd managed. That 60 needs a little more than I have time for right now. I'd jump on it if it was priced a bit lower.

thanks, really want a 60 with a manu(e)al transmission. It seems like Tx trucks are priced 3-4k more than what everyone here on Mud thinks. Just sitting and waiting for one to scream come get me.

Cancer free, minimal rust, running and driving for under $10K is hard to find these days.
Rust free and minimal rust are tough to find period.
Metal work (replacing metal and pulling dents) is expensive, time consuming. I prefer pulling dents over replacing metal any day.

Good luck with your search, there are Unicorns out there. Getting them for under $10K will be the hard part.
