Hey, Mud community. I'm in the position where I'm thinking about giving up my project FJ60. I was in the process of swapping a 3FE from a 92 FJ80 into my FJ60 and ended up pausing the completion due to financial and work reasons. The 3FE is installed (all new engine gaskets and seals, new head gaskets and head bolts.) The engine came out of a running and driving FJ80 with 200-210K miles on it. The FJ60 body/chassis is lower at around 140-150K. The crusier was purchased at a salvage yard in Colorado. Proof of purchase and State inspection and title check is clear. But I do not have the title. I'm either selling this as a complete parts cruiser or someone can go through the bonding process and get a title for it. I just ran out of time...

With that in mind, I’ve decided to sell the ‘88 FJ62 I’ve been reviving after a long ownership by two previous non-car guys. I’ve not finished it to the point I was striving to reach, but it’s quite near that point......and that’s why I’m pricing it by leaving some “meat on the bone.” I just need to thin the herd to keep everything else from suffering. Up for sale is my baby of a FJ62. This truck has been babied and cared for like one of the children. She is garage kept and has been for the 5 or so years that I've owned her. In that time there has been no expense spared in fixing and upgrading her. She has no leaks and every seal has been replaced within the last 1800 miles. I purchased her from another member and drove her from Denver to St. Louis where all of the work was completed. She's an honest running daily driver with excellent mechanicals everywhere and an okay body. She starts immediately every time and is ready to be driven across country today...nothing is needed. Really well built 60 in great condition. I’m selling for $12k obo. Having a kid soon and need something a little safer and more comfortable. I hate to get rid of it because it is such a great truck and turns a lot of heads.
Truck lived in California and Texas most of it's life. Body is in excellent shape. Clear and clean title. Reliable daily driver, road trip truck, and all around true utility vehicle. There's only two small rust spots (2 1/2" diameter) on the passenger quarters near the wheel well and on the tailgate hatch, other than that this truck is rust free and in great condition.
