Hi
I've got an abandoned 2007 FJ on my property. I understand it is a rare collectible. It's been vandalized, and doesn't run. Engine not seized. 6 speed manual transmission. Definitely a restoration project. Before I go through the hassle of applying for ownership, just how rare and interesting is it to FJ enthusiasts? I will need to sell it.

If the frame is very clean and the miles on the ODO low, it could be worth fixing up. Only 2007 that is more "rare" than others would be the all black TRD Special Edition....has black roof to match black paint, and gunmetal color TRD wheels.
That in a 6-speed is desirable.

On the flip side they made like more 2007s than all the other years combined so an FJ is not currently THAT desirable overall.
If its LOW miles and pristine, a 6-speed TRD might fetch like 30-40k to the right buyer. Issue youll have is it wont be "original".

Post some pictures if you have any

Not particularly rare, but the market is pretty good for sellers right now. Get it cleaned up and running if you have any real intention of selling it. What kind of vandalism? Graffiti or actual sheet metal / window damage? Interior damage?

Thanks for replying and the info.. Surprised it's not particularly rare. Read only 10% of FJ'S came with 5 speeds, fewer with 6. It's a mess. Broken windows, scratched paint, damaged interior.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping it'll turn into a project for someone, either to flip or enjoy, but it's in rough shape. Trying to figure out reasonable asking price for it in this condition. I don't believe these trucks should go for scrap price unless they're totalled

Frame might be clean, I haven't looked yet. I was told it came from Alberta. Dry there. No idea about the odo

Are broken windows and keying job from a vandalism or rolling vehicle?
They only came with 2 transmissions their entire production run.
auto in 2wd or part time 4wd or the 6 speed stick shift with only full time 4wd awd

It’s hard to tell from those pictures what condition and mileage it has to give accurate value.
If rust free and low mileage and you like working on things yourself it might be worth finding glass and fixing up. If you’re having to pay for other people to fix and paint I don’t know if there’s enough meat on the bone to do that and resell it for a profit. Unless you have contacts who do that type of work.
