I am looking to sell my 1988 FJ62. I have owned the vehicle since 2020 and it has been in my garage when its not being driven. I have not had the time that I thought I would (dreamer) to do all of the restoration I wanted to and would like it to go to someone that will do all the right things. Quick background on it; I bought the FJ62 from the guy that owns State Automotive here in Salt Lake that really specializes in Land Cruisers and Toyotas. The engine was replaced with one with roughly 150k miles I was told but the body has 211,270 miles on it. 250,XXX miles. I do drive it to work at least once per week so it will go up.
It does have a oil leak from the rear main. Nothing to bad but yes it does leak oil.
Just had serviced at Toyota in Longview. Oil change, AC service and Inspection.
Old Man Emu lift w/ steering stabilizer Heavy leafs in the rear and mediums in the front.
BFG All Terrians 33-10.50
AC blows cold. Heater blow hot in the front as well as the rear heater.
Transmission shifts great. Was told by previous owner he had it rebuilt but I did not receive any paperwork stating this.
Driver side seat has a tear. Was going to install new covers from Spector but I figured I would wait as more and more owners are going to vinyl...

Hello! As I'm moving across the country I unfortunately need to sell my 1988 FJ62 Landcruiser. This is my 5th 60/62 and probably the ugliest duckling out of the group.
She's far from perfect and I'm going to try and be as honest as I possibly can. Unfortunately I bought this truck not knowing it was a rebuilt title (wasn't listed on the Idaho title and I failed to check with the DMV/CarFax. CarFax is included below, it was in an accident November 1988)
The good:

Originally sold at Big Horn Toyota in Glenwood Springs in 1988. Has lived its whole life in the Roaring Fork Valley. This has been a great truck and given us a ton of great family memories. So after some soul searching I decided to trade in my daily driver Prius for a 100 series, which means I don't need my 60 anymore for beach and ranch trips. Sad to see her go but I hope she can make someone here as happy as she made me over the years. This one is a bit of a mix with some some stuff in pretty good condition and other stuff in... well... not so great condition. I tried to get as many photos of the frame as I could because it's a TX truck that's never seen the salt other than a few beach trips.

Takes a lot of cranks to first start if it's been sitting a while, so I'm guessing a small fuel leak at carburetor.

Selling our 1988 Toyota Diesel Landcruiser. Starts; runs and drives perfectly. No aggravating sensors or computers to worry about. This is a tank and has been well looked after. Pretty much rust free and frame is like new, and frame has been cleaned and painted. Metal panels replaced where needed. Almost ready for paint. Needs some cosmetic finishes ( simple project, but not overwhelming) fresh oil change with factory filter. Engine has a lot less Kms. (diesel swap already done)

I got a 1988 toyota landcruiser for sale or trade. has around 200,000 original miles with the original engine and tranny. has a spring over lift and sits right now on almost new 37" pro comp tires, has been regeared to 4.88 gears and I dropped tank and cleaned and put a new fuel pump in it last year. changed all fluids and radiator hose and is tagged and drove around town on a weekly basis. would make a great overland vehicle or just a nice old classic to take out on the town. has a few small spots of rust but no big areas. asking $18,000 or trade for a sports car or something different. message me or email me for more info. pegleg3206@gmail.com
I replaced a few parts on my 1989 FJ62, so have the originals left over. Prefer not to store them. See pictures. Only 5 pics allowed on site so can email more on request.
1. Front bumper - has a small dent, and a small ding in it which is why I replaced it. In box and ready to go.
2. Grill and headlight door kit - no crack, just worn so I replaced it.
3. Instrument Cluster Finish panel - was cracked so replaced it. Can easily super glue and breaks are clean.
4. Washer basin - crack at very top so didn't leak, but I replaced it. Free if anyone wants to pay for shipping.
Used but not abused classic cruiser. This is not a perfect vehicle, it was used as a daily driver by my family for many years. That said, it is a cruiser, so it's still quite solid. I purchased this one in 1995 and have finally decided I just don't have the time or money to do the full restore it deserves. I have all records for the last 26 years and as far as I know I am the second owner. I am happy to send videos of it running and driving. It was my daily driver until I bought a 100 series a few years ago.

Hi all. I've lurked here for years but don't post much. I bought this rig from another gentleman on here about a year or so ago. And now I'm coming back to sell it back to someone who's a better fit for this truck. I'm old and tired and want a comfier ride. And as much as I love this vehicle, it's time for me to pass it on to someone else, since it probably wasn't a great fit for me in the first place. I had hopes of fully restoring this one. 1984 FJ60 with 5.3 ls engine and GM auto mated to Toyota split transfer case. Runs and drives great. Sits on older OME lift kit. Since I have had it, I adapted all of the gauges to the new powertrain, wire wheeled the frame and painted most of it with POR-15, installed new DIY body mounts, did the Trail Taylor C Channel reinforcement, and replaced all of the rust with clean rust-free OEM metal. The interior is stripped, but I have everything to put it back together, including good door panels, a nice rear seat, a new carpet set, and clean black BMW seats and TorFab adapters for them. I am the second Owner of this 350 Powered 1986 FJ60 Landcruiser
I inherited this truck from a previous employer in Wyoming, in October 2021, where the truck lived all it's life. He swapped the 2F at 124,372 miles for the 350ci Ramjet and 5 speed H55F for freeway driving/towing. The odometer shows 165,790 with the 350ci Ramjet at 41, 518 miles on it. It now lives in my garage in Omaha, NE. I've given it some attention (money) and much needed TLC. I have put about 5,800 miles on it, with no issues, only enhancements.

Selling my 1986 FJ60 sadly. This was my daily driver for a year and during that year it has stayed reliable with no real 'fall off' or decrease in performance over time. I just moved to Salt Lake and can't have it for the city anymore. It isn't perfect and does need some tlc, but it runs and drives very well for stock engine. The frame is pretty clean and only has surface rust. The exterior has some 'cancer' spots and small rust through around the rear wheel wells which is pretty common for all FJ60's, It got in an off roading accident before I got it and the rocker panel on the driver side is pushed in a couple inches, but you can definetly pull it back out.
