My LC project has taken a different turn, and found a Fj60 that will work better for my build (I'm doing a 4BD2T & NV4500 swap). As such, I don't have the room to keep two 60s laying around, and I have to part with one, so here it goes:
For sale is a 1984 FJ60 with a clean AZ title. I bought her about a year ago, and got her running and titled. She has her issues which I'll detail below, but would make a good project truck for someone that has a clean body, but needs a good chassis, transmission, transfer case, and engine.
The Good:
- Engine runs (but needs rebuild. Has rod knock on cylinder 5)
- New carb (original carb is sitting in the truck)
- Has all of the smog equipment (removed to get it running, but...

Imported and restored by Land Cruiser Restorations in Kansas City ~3 years ago. Currently titled and registered in NV and purchased from another mud owner in April 2021 this year. Since acquIring the vehicle I added an OEM AC by sourcing parts both online and locally (not easy!) and was installed through a reputable Land Cruiser shop and vintage AC shop in Vegas, upgraded stereo & speakers, Bowfin roof rack, upgraded Tuffy center console, rear trunk cargo plate, general maintenance, etc. I drive it weekly as a daily driver putting on about 100 miles per week roughly picking up and dropping off kids essentially. Hey looking to see if someone would want to trade their FJ40, FJ45 or FJ60 for my FJ62 that runs and drives with 189,000 miles on it. My 84 I have had for the last 4 years needs some maintenance work soon and would just like to maybe pickup another FJ60 to drive so I don’t feel rushed to get my 84 back on the road. I was thinking about selling the FJ62, but thought I would see if anyone would want to trade before I do. Truck sat for a long time , Put 24 volts to her and some fresh diesel Thing started right up and idled ! AC compressor kicks on alternator even charges. automatic with a driveshaft disconect to flat tow ,comes with tow bar. interior is decent for age . Now the bad ,. bubbles in radiator when running so assuming bad head gasket. trans and t case seem to work as they should.stock wheels ,unmolested truck . I’m selling my current daily driver a 1989 FJ62. Have most records since new; to include the original window sticker price.
Is only a two owner California rig, absolutely no rust. I have owned for approximately 9 months in which I have done an extensive amount of things to it. It resides in the Temecula Wine Country now and plays the part well.
The good:
High mileage but this vehicle was towed behind an RV for many thousands of miles.

87' FJ60 - Amazing Truck. As much as I hate to part with this rig, it's time someone who can really enjoy it should have it. I'm only the second owner and this truck has not seen much dirt at all. It's super clean.

Just in time for Christma, selling my FJ60 this rig is pretty solid, no cancer rust issues, has a couple of dents that are on the pictures, clear coat has worn off on a few places, this 60 was originally in Colorado I bought in Texas and it is my daily driver here in the hill country of Texas, the 2F engine has not been desmogged or altered, when I bought it it had a bad fuel pump which I changed on The spot and drove it home, I have maintained It ever since I bought it, has an aftermarket moon Roof I think and it doesn’t leak, my number is 8172107581 for any more questions on this 60.
1987 Toyota Landcruiser Stock FJ60 with fairly new paint (original color code Beige Metallic ); 193,878 miles. Always serviced at Landcruiser Specialists in Austin Texas. There was flood damage 15 years back - but body, frame and interior in good shape for its age.

I own several of these trucks/parts for them and bought this truck to bring it back to life. As the motor was blown up when I originally bought it. Over the years of owning many of these 60s this is by far the nicest Land Cruisers I have owned. It’s drives tight and exceptionally smooth. This is 100% a turnkey driver that you could drive daily or heck drive cross country tomorrow if you wanted to.

I bought this 1989 fj62 5 years ago and had it painted army green and the interior reupholstered with two tone tan leather. The engine blew after a year so I bought a Chevy V8 LQ9 6.0 with wiring harness and ECM’s and what I believe is a 4l60e 4x4 transmission with torque converter . I thought I would never sell this, but I just don't use it anymore. Been strictly a deer lease ride. Now just sits in the garage. I had a new radiator put in summer of 2019 by Landcruiser Specialist in Austin. All work done to it, lift, clutch, and more by them through the years. When I bought it the carfax showed it had spent its life in West Texas or NM, for what it is worth. Has a ding by the back door, and slight rust behind the rear wheel. Had the top repainted once, but the rust is starting to show through again, I guess the guy didn't get it all. Just a little spot around drip edge.
