This is a 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 model. This vehicle was purchased as a project vehicle and has had a lot of money, over $3500, and time invested in it. But it is in fact a landcruiser.The top that this rig did have in it's youth was removed at some shop in Reno and some fabricating was done as far as installing a roll cage and finishing the doors and side panels to close off all surfaces. and finished with some very heavy duty rhino line on the panel doors floorsand roll cage.In the short time I have had this rig I have installed a ceramic coated header which I purchased from man-a-fre. I was planning to buy a southern truck to swap this powertrain in to, but my job is comming to an end so I will not have time for that now.
The engine and trans works well, the 4X4 works,
The brakes are bad and the clutch slave needs to be bled or changed.
The frame is ok, the rearmost crossmember is rusted but the frame is pretty solid, the body is pretty rusted. but it could be saveable,
$2000, I know the good 3B and 5spd are worth that, but you have to take the whole thing.

Well here goes, I would like to see $3000 out of it since it has the OME, but dont be afraid to make an offer, I have been brutally honest, probably a little picky and hard on the decription of the vehicle, but would rather someone come away super happy than a little pistoff. This could be parted out, or you might want a trail truck and put a 4-5speed in it, the OME makes a nice ride. This has been in Georgia all its life so there is no rust other than very light surface rust that you find on a 20 year old vehicle, you know where there might be a paint nick or the like. I have probably put less than 4k miles on this cruiser in the last 4 years. This is for sale locally.

I purchased this car in January this year. I am the second owner and the vehicle currently has 196k miles. The car has been completley reliable for me and starts everytime even after weeks of sitting. There is a detroit locker in the back, and when driving for extended periods it will click when turning. I am not sure if this is normal or not, but it has never been an issue for me. Car is registered in Oregon till April '10. Before driving it down from oregon I had a full service done on the vehicle by LCNW. They informed me it was in great running condition. When ran through the smog check it passed the first time no problem.

1985 FJ60 with a blown motor. Very little rust, we got this off craigslist about a year and a half ago. after he broke the block, the nice guy sold it to me, no title, perfect for a V8 swap. We wanted OME 2.5" suspension off of it. but we never got around to it. now the city is giving me a hard time, so it needs to go. it is stock with all the emissions stuff there. the only thing not stock is it has Warn locking hubs.

Unfortunantly I must sell my Cruiser. Its an 84 with 277K miles, suposedly the engine was rebuilt a little over 60k ago, but I cant confirm that. The frame was replaced with a rust free FJ62 frame that was POR-15ed (see link in sig for buildup) The body is in not so good shape. I've cut out and welded in new metal around the rear wheel wells. The roof in the back is pretty rust but there arent any holes. The lower quarters are rotten, but I was going to chop the quarters which would get rid of all the rust. I cut the rockers off because of rust. All the doors except for the drivers rear are in great shape. It comes with an almost rust free drivers rear door to replace it. The engine runs pretty well...

dent in pass 1/4 panel, rust in both rear wheel wells, chassis solid, original AB truck till 2003, nice dry motor, clean engine compartment, decent interior, original paint so what you see is what you get... well worth the body job that it needs in my opinion... I would hop in this truck and drive it to the west coast tomorrow without thinking twice!

1985 FJ60 Lots of rust, but runs well. I just did a 400 mile trip to northern Wisconsin camping and trout fishing. Drove about 30 miles of logging roads. This truck has never been wheeled hard. 165,000 miles. Manual tranny. Completely stock. I've been the owner for 11 years.
