Hi guys, just wanted to hop on here as we've seen lots of comments about the retirement to this day. Todd is still looking to retire but we're still in business as usual! Although he's ready to relax, we will continue manufacturing all parts for...
I think originally did 2" over stk and I set up the frt with 4* shims. I found caster was about 0+*, so I shortened them an to 3 3/4" in the frt and rear at 4 3/4" and now have about 1+* caster. It drives fine but will probably go to 6*...
Anything shorter than 4" shackles on the rear and there's a good chance the rear spring eye will decide to bottom out on the spring hanger.
Unless you don't leave pavement.
On the front I have a shorter shackle (I reused an OME shackle) and its fine, rear requires a longer shackle. I'd advise to try the rears with your 5.25" just to see and shorten up if you need to. Here’s a pick of the front.
Is there an ideal shackle length for the 4” SJ lift? I currently have 5.25” Confer shackles with the crossbar. I would like to use a shorter shackle to reduce height some and possibly remove a leaf. They were originally over tighten by PO. Any...
Well, I loved the Michelin Defenders on my ‘13 LX (275/60/20), but wasn’t quite man enough to do it again (probably would have if there was a 33” option for the 21” wheel). Alas, I dropped some Cooper Discoverer AT3s (275/70/18) on 18” TRD Pro...
Finished the tire carrier. I don't think it will fall off. It's nice and tight and rattle free.... for now. Not sure what I'm going to go with on the other side. Any suggestions??
Don't know if I'm going to paint it or just let it get some...
Started my tire carrier yesterday and got a little more time on it this morning. Gotta go look at a house with the son and DIL now bit may be able to get some more done before Tay Tay's team plays tonight. Got another spindle coming for the other...
That one stings a little bit I guess. The money lost doesn't bother me. I'm doing fine. That was just a little anti-climactic. Not even a couple of bidding extensions? I guess I just thought people would value the truck a little more than that...
NO LONGER FOR SALE. I just can't bring myself to sell it.
1970 FJ40 FST. Titled as a ‘78.
I bought the truck from the original owner in July 2021. I’ve worked the past 2 years on refreshing it back to life. This was not a restoration, but it...
Left the truck with RPM Off-road Garage to install the Dissent Offroad F/R bumpers while I was on a work trip last week and it completely transformed the way this truck looks. Paired with the insanely beefy MetalTech4x4 sliders and rear lower...
