I need to move it, wife is going insane that we have another Land Cruiser into which we can not all fit. Overview is that I drove a 3F in a friend's 40 a long time ago and loved it. When the mysteriously tired 2F needed to be replaced, I opted for a 3F-E. The 3F-E is by all means the best gasser engine that a 40 could ever have. It's mated to the stock H42; and considering the H42's 4 gears are about 20% lower than the auto and without the torque converter, there is plenty of power even in the higher end. It ain't perfect, I have the standard rust issues as you...
Looking for a daily driver/camping rig. After looking at this and deciding it was way too much work for the money I'm wondering whats out there... I'm in St. Louis, Mo. but will travel for the right rig. The paint and body do not have to be pretty by any means but I'm hoping for little to no frame rust. I know, I know long shot since I only have about $3k to spend. I could stretch up to $4000 for the right rig but had hoped to spend that $1000 on the stuff that a $3000 cruiser would obviously need. I'd prefer a 40 since I'm coming from an old 71 early bronco and loved it but the 62s are pretty nice looking wagons and being able to drive long distances and tow a small trailer would be a huge plus. We all started somewhere... so...

1970 FJ40 for sale in CT
Time constraints and numerous other projects have pushed this one to the back burner and I have decided it is time to free up some storage space and try to thin my FJ herd. So, up for sale is my 1970 Toyota FJ40. I did a lot of work to this truck a few years ago and it has been in storage since. Body- This cruiser came over to Connecticut in the early 90’s from California so for the most part the body is sold. It looks like the tub has been repaired a few times over the years in all the typical areas. Top of the wheel wells are patched where the roll bar mounts and in the front where the rest of the cage meets the floor. Before I got it, the body had been removed from the frame and the frame sandblasted, as well as most of the body...

1976 FJ40 For Sale - $2500 update - the rig is still running strong. i just replaced the clutch slave cyl with an OEM toyota one. everything else is good to go. i also checked the diffs, transfer case, and tranny fluids - all good. i also put new filler plugs on the diffs as the PO had buggered the old ones nicely. just recently took the doors off for the AC effect and like i said, running strong. all original, waiting for you to make it yours. I bought this in June06 and just had a baby. I have only had time to drive it to work once in a while. It is not my first cruiser and I would say that if nothing else, it is all original. The PO told me that it had a head job and carb rebuild at some point and based on the work I did on my...

MO FJ-40 for-sale.
D'animal saw this on his way through MO and turned me onto it so I could help out anyone who might be interested. The year is unknown but Dan said late 60s and I don't know the difference....I forgot to ask the owner. The truck is formerly an Oregon cruiser that was owned by a woman who DD it before she sold it due to marriage. No rust. Seems to be almost completely stock. Owner just doesn't have time to drive it. He said something about $8,000 for it. Contact info: Alan C 800-222-4004 Flying A Motorsports Cuba, MO flyinga@fidnet.com The cruiser is about 45 minutes away from me and if someone is really interested but unable to check the truck out I can go take a bunch of pictures and stuff like that. Pictures...
