My neighbour is selling his FJ40. I believe it's a 1978 but I don't know for sure (I forgot to check). Last weekend we walked down and took some pictures of it. His phone number is 250-787-2298. It has an aluminum tub and fenders, new suspension, new Best top soft top, it lives a sheltered life as a garage princess (I've never seen it out overnight), the interior looks pretty clean, it also has new tires. I believe he is looking to sell it in the $7000 CDN range...best bet is to call him. Has original motor and hardtop/doors still (as far as I know). Anyway, pretty nice project...well on its way to completion.
71 FJ-40 clean Oregon title located in So Calif. we had the head rebuilt and the motor is running but it still needs some tune up work , the truck is complete less hard top and doors, with some tlc and time this will be a nice Cruiser project for someone i just dont have the time. there is rust on the hood and bottom of door frame but nothing to extreme, i have only worked on the motor but we have driven the truck and everything seems to work i will give anyone any and all info i have on this Cruiser $2700.00
I have a 1972 FJ40 for sale. It has 101739 miles on it. I started this project several years ago with the intention of building a very nice cruiser as this truck is in such good condition to begin with. The F engine runs strong without any smoke. I have installed a 76 four speed trans with new clutch setup,surfaced the flywheel, new clutch slave cylinder ,new rear seal and front trans seal. I have rebuilt the rear wheel cylinders, new shoes, new axle seals . At this point, my son wanted the truck to do a complete restore..........well, two babies later.............the 1972 has troop seats, rear heater, spare tire carrier, air cleaner housing, hard top and a box full of new OEM lights, emblems, knobs, shifter boot, new shocks, new brake...
I have a 1970 FJ40 for sale in Maryville Tn. We are about 45 miles north of Tellico on hwy. 411north.About 20miles south of Knoxville. It is in alot better shape than some I have seen for sale in this area and on this board. Doesn't run but is in maybe 50% condition. Clear Good title in hand,all glass good, all running gear intact,3 on the tree, vacum transfer,"Brat" rear seat, frame has only surface rust (no rust through),rust on bottom of doors not bad,some rust on bottom of hard top, dash intact,very good exhust, fenders or wheelwells not cut. really good front sheet metal with no dents or rust, aftermarket rollbar, gas tank and straps,stock front seats,under seat tool box ,extra set of running boards.older rear carpet kit, rubber...

Just put my baby up for sale on Ebay. Hate to part with it but need to pay off the IRS. It's a RUST FREE 1964 hardtop fj40 landcruiser (not many hardtops around from that year) in excellent condition. It has a Chevy V8 283 engine with original OEM Toyota 3 speed stick and drive train. Only 15,000 miles on the engine rebuild, and a perfect compression test which I can provide on request. 103,000 miles on the chasis. Clean inside and out, Clean Title vehicle, Smog Exempt, starts first time every morning with a little choke. The engine sounds mean when its revved. Holley carb, restored seats, and a set of 5 brand spanking...

hello, im new to this and looking to find an FJ40 or 60 on or near the east coast for fairly cheap. i really want a 60 but will also go after a 40 if its the right price. if anyone can post any information on any it would be greatly appreciated.

I will be using it as a DD with limited off-roading, but I still want the aggressive look - yes, I am a poser, I guess.
My ideal FJ40, would have 33" to 35" tires with 4" - 6" of lift max...

hello all, looking for a fj40 that will drive on the highway with roof and doors included. I am trying to find one in colorado, utah phoenix or between LA and grand canyon. Me and the :princess: are flying into LA on the 1st of august and are going to try to find a fj40 we can drive back to canada. We would like to see the grand canyon on the way back and we will be driving up through oregon on the way back.
I know that $2500 is a bit on the small side to find a cruiser but every once in a while you see something go for this much. If we dont find one we may just buy something else cheap for a road trip home.
If anyone happens to come across one on craigslist or something please give me a email or PM or something.

Old Man Emu springs, low profile u-bolt plates, rear greasable shackles, RS7000 shocks, lockrite in rear, Factory soft top bows and replacement skin, jacobs ignition, headers, non-usa distributor, factory bucket seats, coated fuel tank, 74 hardtop sides and back hatch included but no fiber roof.
