I'd forgotten there are multiple ECUs now - Brakes, Fuel, Engine (for the Atkinson cycle engine).

Good thing that was under warranty.

Tagged Bambi’s mom on the way to work last week doing about 40mph. The winch bumper took the brunt of the hit but the rump caught the corner of the bumper. A little bit of time with the heat gun and some patience and it’s almost as good as new. I’ll need to get a new fog light assembly as the mounting tabs broke off. Could have been a lot worse.

Nice work.... Looks very normal now

Time to update this thread again. Truck is about to roll over 100k. Starting to go over it as I prepare to hopefully do the New Mexico BDR in the spring. Need to replace the drive belt and PCV, flush the power steering, and change the fluids again.

The suspension is done. Upper ball joint boots have failed and the Ironman foam cell pros are pretty beat up. But I can’t complain, the list was installed when the truck barely had 1000 miles on it.

All this comes at just the right time as I plan on finally regearing to 5:29s and installing a front locker in the truck this winter.

Planning on replacing the shocks and struts with Ironman again but may just put my factory UCAs back on.

More to follow once parts start coming in.

Truck is all wrapped up, I’m sure my wife is ready to have me back in the house and not living in the shop.

Pulled the diffs and dropped them off at East Coast Gear Supply for the ring and pinion swap and the e-locker install. Debated doing it myself but their price and the warranty won me over. Their service was super quick and Tyler was on point with communication. If I have to regear anything else I’ll definitely use them again.

While I was waiting for the diffs to be completed I started on replacing the suspension. Went with the Ironman Foam Cell Pros again. The last set lasted a long time, I did swap to heavy rear leafs springs. When looking to replace the upper ball joints in the Ironman UCAs I found out there had been a recall on them a couple of years ago. Called Ironman America and provided them the part number on my UCAs, they promptly shipped me a replacement set.

I also installed Wheeler Off-road bump super bump stops to replace the hard rubber factory ones. Hoping to calm the bottoming out down. Threw in a u-bolt flip while I was in there.

Tidied up my accessory electronics with an Auxbeam switch panel and installed a Guild dash panel that got through Cali Raised LEDs.

Next came mounting the rooftop tent. Some rigging and an assist from the ATV got the tent on top the truck. Went with the Ironman Orion 1400. It’s not that I’m a die hard fanboy of the company, but their products work and the price was right. Add in all the sales they do and it makes the price right.

Wired up a new 120watt solar panel to the tent and it’s about ready to rock. Still need to wire up the accessory panel for the tent, had to order some more duplex wire. Should have it done by next weekend. Can’t wait to try it all out.

I’d been trying to come up with an idea of where to put a fuse panel in the rear of the truck for power to the fridge and air compressor. I’m going to try this and hope I don’t burn the truck to the ground. I carefully ran 4 gauge from the house battery along the driver side frame rail following the factory loom to the bottom of the bed. I mounted a Harbor Freight “weatherproof” case under the bed in the rear for the fuse panel and circuit breaker.

good thing I don’t frequent boarder crossings.
This is ****ing genius.

TacoLink installed. 😆 okay, it’s a Starlink Mini. I gave myself enough slack to be able to move the unit to the top of the sunroof if wanted. Speeds are slightly degraded going through the factory glass but not enough to hinder anything I’ll be doing. Power is from an aux port that’s is directly off the MPPT.

Just finished up the New Mexico BDR. Such a great trip with excellent company. So much to see. Truck performed great as expected.
