76 FJ-40 started redoing the body a while back and recent financial woo's force me to sell, the frame and body have been sanded and primed, everything is there except body has been cut out behind the front seats, vehicle will run and drive (around the block), no top, 81 FJ-40 wheels with rolling tires, front seats are out but still have, no rear seats or front bumper, driveline is perfect, everything worked and drove well before disassembly (just a bad body), all new synthetic fluids throughout $1,800 obo

For anyone who is interested I recently found an add for a 1974 FJ-40 for sale on a repairables lot near Sioux City, Iowa. It was a project being done by a guy who passed away from cancer and the owner of Custom Sales picked it up at the estate auction. The unit has a very nice looking cowl piece, window frame with good glass, some nice looking and complete doors and a hood. The unit also comes with a brand spanking new aluminum 3/4 tub that was still in the crate with an aluminum tranny hump. A brand new poly gas tank is included as well. The seller has the invoice from where the PO had purchased (around $2,900) for the tub, tranny hump, gas tank and shipping so he is selling the whole enchilada for $3,000. I have tried to deal with...
Due to lack of time and my other two cruisers i am selling my rusty FJ-40 I bought it in anticipation of making a good 4 wheel/crawler project.
The hisory on it is that i bought it from a cruiserhead who stated it last ran about 10 years ago and then he pulled the plugs and parked it, i have know the man and i trusted him. the mechanical are all there as usual rust is the issue with this truck. the rear wheelwells are all but gone.
the hard top is still there and there are some rust holes in the rear frame.
this would make either a great project or good parts truck, the gas tank that was given to me is in great shape and has no rust. if anyones interested in the truck email me and i can send you pictures, they can explain its...

First, thanks to ih8mud forum for letting me post this ad here. It looks like it is the place to be.
I'm selling (for my dad) a 1975 FJ 40 fully frame off restored. It has 67,600 miles, ultra wheels, coil over front, disc front. The frame is painted, and the tub is line-x coated top and bottom. For the rest, I'll let the pictures do most of the talking with options and features. As seen in the pictures, there may be a couple of bolts with rust, but overall all the rust was cut out and fixed the right way. There are over $17k in parts only.
The vehicle is located in Oklahoma City, OK and a price tag of $21,500.

This rig is really solid. It has very, very minimal rust. One spot on the top of the left rear wheel well, the rear sill area, and there is some fiberglass repair under the fuel tank. I don't even see any surface rust/pitting anywhere else. I couldn't believe how clean it was inside of the rear wheel wells and on the inside of the rocker panels where these things are always rusted out. The frame is as good as you will find on a 34 year old vehicle anywhere, IMOP. Looks like a rattle can White paint job...
