Mounted my custom 4+ bumper that @lcwizard made. Nicest thing on my cruiser! I can't say enough about the quality of his work and great customer service! It also gave me a chance to use some of the new JIS cad nuts and bolts from daveworks.

That should be mounted on a bumper...

Yeah, I know. That said....my quarter needs to be replaced at some point and my bumpers are pretty robust so there's she stands.

Picked up some half doors someone started working on but never finished. Zero rust just need some welding and finishing love.

Got all my lights working and emblem all painted up.

Enlisted my buddies boys to wash my 40.

Washed it and changed the oil. Can't hardly wait for a chance to get it in the mountains where it belongs. :(

Finally bit the bullet and replaced both rear wheel cylinders on the passenger side as well as the axle and jumper lines on that side . Hopefully those cylinders can be rebuilt , need to inspect them . Replacements were cheap Centric brand from Rock Auto . Finally decided to try out the NiCopp alloy line and bought a roll , pretty good stuff . It's almost a bit too soft , be careful flaring it as it will crush down too far and thin the lip out - resulting in the lip breaking off against the seat when tightened . That was fun to fish out and re-flare ...

After bleeding many times , still had a low and semi-soft pedal . Check the driver's side adjustment and both were frozen , arrrgghh..
Pulled both cylinders off , removed the boots carefully and used the welding torch to break the adjuster screws loose and cooled it quickly with a wet rag . Worked fine as usual , no damage to the piston seal . Tons of wire brushing and anti-seize later they work again like new . Changed the shoes since both were worn really uneven due to not being adjusted properly for so long , stops extremely well now . Noticed rear pinion leaking slightly while I was in there - vent on axle plugged and rusted , no wonder . Broke the top off and added a vent line up to the engine bay and added a filter , need to plumb the rest of the drive train into that soon . Taking the day off today , spent Saturday helping the Post Office here locally with their annual food drive - pretty much finished off the crappy rear springs in the Tacoma . Wish Toyota would get off their butt and release a new replacement that will actually take weight .

Sanded and painted a spare bezel I had laying around. The one on it was black and I thought it got lost on the front end with all the other black there. I also thought that the factory Cygnus would look too close to my paint. I decided to go with the Massey Ferguson grey that I used on my wheels. I like the look a lot!

Repainted the valve cover today. Sanded down to nearly bare metal (enough to cut through the rust and gunk, anyway) Put on a quick coat of self-etching primer after degreasing to make sure the rust would be slowed in the future. A final coat of flat black tractor and implement rust-inhibiting paint finished the job. I think it turned out pretty well. It's also amazing how much it seemingly cleaned up the engine bay just by having a fresh valve cover. I would like to apologize for the blurriness of picture #3, as I usually endeavor to take high quality pictures. I'll also point out that those old plug wires are soon to go (putting in a full tune up kit) and a good steam clean is in order while everything is accessible.

Need to get a fresh "F155" decal (not sticker!) to further clean things up.

Please excuse the lack of carb, fenders, fender aprons, and hood. I currently have the whole front end torn down for a repaint.

That bezel looks awesome! Love the color.

Finished up some items on my 60. Pulled the 40s into the shop for some final parts poaching. Ordered the lift, shackles and a plethora of other parts. Will start to strip the frame down and get it painted tomorrow and pull a 3rd for the '68 build. Hopefully all this week.

Took it to a car show at the Bar-B-Que festival, don't know who the fat guy standing beside it is...lolView attachment 1074831
Water pump died about two blocks before I made it to the car show. UPS GUY dropped one off the night before, thought it would make it another trip. So installed water pump and new fan clutch today. Can't believe how much quieter it is.

Well let's see...sold off the accessories from my F. Robbed the pumpkins from my donor FJ62. Took some parts on over to get washed up. Pulled this from the FJ62 driveway donor. Stripped off the split case and delivered it to Georg for a rebuild onto a cherry H55F. Robbed the last few parts I needed from the 62, finally ready to scrap this thing. More parts to the cleaners....been a busy few days. Tomorrow I'll work to clean up the 3FE and ditch the auto tranny, but the rest of the week is pretty much dedicated to making a coffee table and enjoying the company of :princess:, she just finished her first year of law school.
