Replaced my spark plugs with some Denso W14EXR-U plugs, embarrassed I didn’t do it sooner after seeing what they looked like. Any cause for concern here or is this normal for old plugs?

Split the difference between the recommendations I saw and went with a gap of 0.035” (coil is aftermarket). Also adjusted the choke on the Weber, between those two things the 40 is running like a top again! Wasn’t bad before but had gotten a little slow to start and idle felt rough.

***Update** Just took the 40 for a quick spin around the neighborhood, holy *%#@! It’s like a completely different vehicle, feels like it’s got 50 more HP and so much smoother. I’m still embarrassed I haven’t done this before now but will never make that mistake again!

Well, YEAH - how's she gonna compete with that red hot weather boot?

Mounted steering box & rolled front axle out for clean-up and rebuild.

I've recently switched from a Weber to the same carb you are running. I am not sure what the large inlet pipe is for, but I capped it off. I find that it fills with fuel and it is possibly causing some performance issues occasionally when the fuel sloshes around. I am not sure, but it is a hunch. What are you going to plug that up with or do you know what it is for?
