I followed step #10 in those same instructions, worked perfectly. I’m assuming that the canvas has the snaps on already? The rear corners are the most important, do those two first. (My Bestop is long gone but the snaps are still there)
I purchased my bestop back in the 80's and it came with threaded stud snaps. I was going to mention Sailrite too, they have pages of various snap type fasteners. I've purchased tools, parts and materials from them over the yrs. Some stuff is...
Finally got around to fixing the factory AC.
The vent windows used to flop around. Tightened the hardware behind the access holes and they now stay put.
Showed up 2021 "ran when parked" in '97. Needed absolutely everything except a body lol
Current day '24 after replacing/restoring anything I could get my hands on.
A wise man once said " If it has t*ts or tires it will give you trouble". Welcome to the world of old trucks. Part of the satisfaction will be overcoming these obstacles and will actually add to your pride of ownership, trust me on this.
You mentioned your lower hose looks good and the leak appears to be at the bottom of the radiator. I can’t tell if your rad is OE. Look underneath and see if you can see a drain tube (petcock). While it’s cool see if that tube is loose. 2gal and...

I've been happy with the Land Rover Defender mirrors so far - you can get them in flat as well as convex, and they have a nice snappy fold-in mechanism. They do need an adapter plate, but they do a good job looking like the Icon mirrors at a...
So here are some pictures with the 35 and the 33. I’m debating if I should go with a 2 1/2 lift. Or a fender flare. First 2 pictures are the 35 and last 2 the 33. I hate having such a big gap between the wheel well the top of the tire. It doesn’t...
Hi, I have collected my FJ40 and got it home, which was a hairy experience. Lots of areas for me to explore, the steering and brakes being top of my list. My FJ is registered with DVLA as first registered in 1981 and appears to be a Japanese...
I think you'll be happy. I received mine last month and it looks great to me. Easy peasy and Fedex shipping from Columbia to MT was shockingly fast (three days!).
I'm fitting the top to a set of factory bows and FST doors I picked up many...
I am reviving an old thread but I finally bought the Troa soft top kit today off of ebay. I am almost a year late since I started this thread. I took so long because an engine swap and some other things got in the way haha. I ended up buying...
