EGR port. Not sure yet how I will block this off. I had two carbs to work with. The original 1977 EGR block had bad mating surfaces. (The integral gaskets were in poor condition). My spare carb had great mating surfaces on the EGR block but the tube had been hammered closed so I cut if off and used this block when I rebuilt the carb. I'm thinking I'll machine a metal plug and maybe epoxy it in?I've recently switched from a Weber to the same carb you are running. I am not sure what the large inlet pipe is for, but I capped it off. I find that it fills with fuel and it is possibly causing some performance issues occasionally when the fuel sloshes around. I am not sure, but it is a hunch. What are you going to plug that up with or do you know what it is for?

I didn't think of that since I am going off of an '81 emissions manual for my '82. From what I gather for SOR.com carb identifier, its a 9/77 - 1/79 Federal. I am guessing they moved the EGR inlet from the carb to the intake at some point. Thank you for getting me back on track. Still need to figure out a solution to keeping that pipe from filling up with fuel.
Got a pic of the rear doors closed? Are they "home made".Finally finished the custom rear drawers and 2nd battery setup. Glamping in a fj40
