Took the pig out to test the new tires.
This is the exit of a long 4low rock section, sorry I didn't get any pictures in the rocks but the tires worked really well.

We headed up the mountain to find some snow and mud.

This was about as far as we got, a hunter got shot and there was emergency vehicles everywhere looking for the injured hunter and it was a bit of a poop show with stuck vehicles, helicopters, side by sides trying to get through to get up to where they needed to go so we pulled a Dodge truck out of a ditch and headed home.
These cheap tires seem to do well in the rocks, mud, snow and highway, we ran up a bit over 90MPH on the pavement back and no issues.

What’s up with your hauler?
Ya what up wit dat???
China Flu and the unknown economic future for my business that funds these projects, I will need to write many $5000.00 checks between now and the time it’s done and with all the uncertainty going on right now it seemed best to pump the brakes on this project and see what 2021 brings.

Think I already posted a pic somewhere of my speedo showing an indicated 82mph about the time Deo blew by us. Adjusted for the rubber overdrive with my 33s, that means right at 90mph. Likely hearing more noise from the stuff on the rack and the rooftop tent at that point.

Yup, our business too is uncertain past Feb - so far as busy enough to produce confidence, many in the same boat.

Everything for @fj55-100 wheels are here now and I'm making my way out to the shop to look at them this afternoon.
I got a notice that the hubcaps had been backordered then received them a couple days later and I was hopeful I could weld the lip from the new caps to the Toyota caps to make this fast and easy, no go. The Toyota caps lip is about 8.125" ID and the US Wheel caps have a 10.125" ID and is unworkable. This picture will show the difference.

Luckily the clips are screwed to the wheels and are removable.

Problem is they need to move inward 1" and that runs down into the radius and I'm a little gun shy on bending these clips too much after my experience bending the other hubcap clips I had ordered.

I think I've come up with an easy solution using some #80 chain links to offset the clips inboard 1" and keep a flat surface, ordering the stuff now to see if these will work for the guy with limited tools that wants to run a 16" or 17" wheel and Toyota hubcaps. #80 chain has a 1" pitch and the links are harden alloy steel that should work well for whats needed.

This is what I've been looking for for mine. I bought the rims I have just to get me through until I could find a way to get ones that looked original. They look great and I saw them on Instagram.
