Replaced all peripherals when I did my swaps...starter, alternator, water pump (high volume from heavy duty pickup), thermostat, fan clutch (from heavy duty pickup, locks in earlier) as well as the tensioner pulleys, radiator cap, belts and hoses. Cheap enough insurance and still had starter issues.Tension pulleys were worn on my motor and not many miles on it, good to replace. I should have replaced water pump while it was on the stand.
