Went ahead and put two layers of X-Mat on the firewall.
Made some little 10M x 1 inverted flare bulkheads.

Painted the steering column shaft, got the lower bearing that I thought I’d already bought, but apparently did not, ordered and installed.
Installed my new tumbler that @sahelzer gave me (thanks again!).
Disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled the wiper motor and gear assembly.
Painted and reassembled the pedal box assembly.

Lookin good

Looks like your putting the oe steering back in? I guess I assumed you would be doing tilt.
For 20 or 30 seconds I thought about going with a 60 series column. The added controls on that column would be a nice way to consolidate, but the bulky plastic trim was a turn-off. Don’t really care for the tilt Chevy columns, and wasn’t concerned about it enough to look into an IDIDIT.
Stock for now, maybe change down the road 🤷🏻‍♂️

What did you lube the wiper transmission with?

Been using what Scrappy uses, Super Lube. And something else about it - Super Lube is also a dielectric grease! Never knew that before. Says it right on the label.
its also edible, which makes for a decent stand in when i run out of Dukes mayo, but my favorite thing about it is the syncolon, my doctor appreciates that.
