Anodized an fairly inexpensive????If not try not to use brass fittings or plugs to keep the galvanic corrosion to a minimum, no matter what you do that tank will out last the pig your bolting it to so most of this is more about preventing the funk that plugs filters

Yes but as you know E10 is an ethanol-blended fuel. Phase separation is a real thing and you’ll end up with a layer of water sitting on the bottom of the tank, given enough time the aluminum will start getting the white corrosion and flake off into the fuel. We used to just dip the parts in phosphoric acid based cleaner then rinse with water then straight into the Alodine.So far with some net and YouTube searching, best results for the Bonderite type treatment involves a thorough surface cleaning with Alumi-Prep and a Scotch-Brite type pad. That is unless now there’s a hands free method for prepping that I haven’t found...
