X, these are PT Cruiser seats, early 2000’s. Manual function forward/backward, recline, lumbar. Heated. Electric raise/lower on driver side.

Have not seen the Scheel-man consoles. I’ll check them out.👍

Pretty sure he meant Sheel Mann seats.

Yep, probably right. My excuse now is that it’s early and my brain still isn’t working.

X, I’m pretty happy with these seats I’ve got and have gone to a lot of trouble to mount them this way. Gonna stick with them for now.

Not a bad excuse ordinarily but I only had 5 hours of sleep after 18 hours of flying...

(hinged lid, cup holders). Another possibility is one of those consoles that CCOT carries. Those are pretty sweet. Either way the armrests have to go.
I’ve been thinking about a Dometic CDF 11 for the center console on my truck project, @ $400.00 it’s really not much more expensive than other aftermarket console options and it would be convenient on those long drives.

They are seats.
Sorry about the Delay w the rollers. They are in the mail. There are some little amendments that you’ll need to make with you HB roller like adding washers and such. Ck out on you tube if you don’t already know. :)

The 1.5” square tubing roller dies showed up today! Thanks again @xtiaan2000 !🙏
Downside is there was no 1/4” x 3-1/4” piece of key-stock for the central roller shaft🤷🏻‍♂️
No worries, I can get everything I need tomorrow so I can be rolling this weekend. Just gotta get the 1” dies from SWAG now.
Making this roof support cage while the tub is on the spit will be pretty nice 👍

Oh my gosh! Can’t believe I forgot that. It’s in the mail tomorrow. No reason to get another. I wonder if that the 1” die will come with a shaft/key? Regardless its out tomorrow.
Instead of a ratchet to tighten I used a 1/2 impact. Saved a lot of energy.
Mine I got all tacked in place and added cross pieces to prevent movement. It was perfect. All the pieces were flush to the roof. I was stoked. Welded it all up making sure to weld in different areas etc. Removed crosspieces. Put it back in the car and now there are gaps!!! 😥
Good luck! Make Scrappdaddy proud!

We’ll see what I can come up with X. It’s going to be a different design than either of you, but the same overall concept. I’m excited about the overhead console and lighting possibilities. Might make some panels to go over the ribs with some sections of foam or other insulation material to to go between. My biggest concern is weight. 55’s are already top heavy, adding more weight up high just adds to the effect. Ran around with my old roof rack for years and did good, so if I can keep the combined weight of the internal cage and the new roof rack as near as possible to the weight of the old rack, it should be okay 👌

Got rolling today on the 1.5” square tubing. Actually rolled very easy and had to take arch out on a couple areas to get it to fit flatter against the roof. Cut each piece 6” longer on each end because of where you lose your bending capability, and had to check my radius on the outside of the roof rather than on the inside before deciding to cut off those extra inches on each end.
Decided to go with 4 mounting points on each side - on or near each pillar. Drilled out behind each so the bolts can pass.

Coming along, I wish I had a pic handy of my overhead switch console dad & I did in the Baja circa 1988, backlit label for every switch...
