Still moving along brother! Not as quickly as others, but still moving!

May have to go to Home Depot today to get another 20 pack of cut-off discs. Hopefully the shelves are not empty🙏
Face masks doubtful, cut off disks probably.

Looking great!

Good on dust masks!😄👍 Bought a box a month or so ago, and haven’t been chucking them until they’re thoroughly blackish.

Here’s what I’m tackling ATM. Only a portion of what I need to do, trying not to overwhelm myself.😓

Thought I recognized that white truck. Realized I was mistaken. No plume of Utah desert dust behind it.

Started my Sunday morning insanity by cutting up the rest of the 3/16” fishplates that will be used for all the new suspension hangers. I’ve been cutting so much with the grinder in recent weeks that I’ve developed some kind of tendinitis in my right elbow. With all the money I’ve spent on 15 packs of cut-off wheels, I could have bought a plasma cutter by now and saved my elbow.

Was able to get a start on these 2” angle-head crow-foot wrenches. Those will be handy any day now. Amazing how quickly these days are going by when trying to get-er-duuun.

Noticed something today that I hadn’t noticed before. The inner section of frame at the rear appears to be “pooching out” (😂) on account of rust scale expanding between it and the outer main frame. My understanding is that this can be a problem area, and actually have seen further degradation on the parts FJ60 I have. If any time were to be the time to address it, it would be now, just a matter popping out the rivets, cutting the weld at front, removing the piece, cleaning, etc., etc. Conundrum is that the rivets holding the cab mounts located behind the wheel-well also hold the channel. Do guys normally run bolts through them when doing this repair? Weld them? Anyone deal with this?

As a side note, some PO removed the crossmember that tied into the stock back bumper. I never even knew about that piece until that last few years. Not sure if they normally tie into that inner frame sleeve in the rear, but there are some obvious torch cuts back there that are evidence that it was cut out for some reason. Unless I did it and just forgot about it 🤷🏻‍♂️
