I put some closed-cell one-sided adhesive foam on the aluminum cover. It's only 6x9" as well, not very big. Not going anywhere.

I also plan to remake it in stainless, but the aluminum is just what I had offhand that wasn't steel.

Didn't really notice the material, sounds like you got it covered....:hmm:  :hillbilly:

Tacked it in, there's some gaps along the bottom after stripping the deadening. That sucked by the way. Lots of acetone, stainless wirewheel on the grinder, and BUTYL EVERYWHERE. Luckily the brake-cleaner infused butyl combo sweeps up easily.

These are the proper flywheel bolts you need if you are doing a manualtransmission conversion on a post 10/89 FJ62. Before I just reused the flexplate bolts, these have an extra 5mm of length to them for the warm-and-fuzzies.

Also, got a big box from @reevesci. This is a surprise for later....

The nice thing about putting American parts on your TOYOTA is you don't feel guilty if they aren't OEM

Going to try and see how well this off-the-shelf NV4500 mount works for me. It was only $25! :)

This one looks like it will work far better, and it was only $6!

I have a prototype Dodge tailhousing, and the bolt holes are closer together then normal Dodge 4x4 tailhousins. They are also 5/8" holes, and I'm using 7/16" bolts through it. So I bought some 7/16" fuel hose which has a 5/8" OD so it will make a nice cushion-y sleeve through the holes. I think.

Drill two holes in the automatic crossmember, and it works!
The lower bolt heads are INSIDE the crossmember, if I drilled all the way through it would hit the fumbles in the bottom so I did t want to do that. No big deal, they are just kind of hard to get in and out if I were to change the mount. Not the end of the world.

Output angles look decent, I may shim the mount about 1/4" or so, I'm only eyeballing but it looks like the transfer case is angled down a hair, I'd prefer both outputs to be parallel with the frame.

Anyways this will get me by for awhile, the mount is kind of wimpy, I have plans to make a crossmember from scratch that is solid-mounted to the transmission and supports the transfer cases, and uses those leaf-spring like bushings on the frame mounts. But for around down this should do for now I think, any thoughts?

The things a man will do to achieve an OD 5th gear... Looks good.

I think I'm pretty much ready to pull out the "mock-up" powertrain and build everything, besides the motor which is still being machined.

Oh and did I mention that my rear flange-to-flange measurement is about 31" and so is and FJ62 front driveshaft? :grinpimp:

I'm starting to get excited :grinpimp:

Only just now?! :grinpimp:

What are your thoughts on that mount? Do you think it will hold up to a couple months of just daily use? It's pretty small. And N4500/203 is not featherlight...

I have that same mount holding up my setup. Works perfect. I keep a spare in the tool box in the truck.

Awesome, just wanted a second opinion.

This is what I'd really like to mimic, just later. I like how it supports at multiple points, and is probably "solid" enough that I won't have to do a solid motor mount. These aren't the same drivetrain but it's the concept.

And so does @GLTHFJ60 and @mcguirejohnson... But besides you three it's a surprise :D
Matt, I can take a good guess as to what's in the box. It

Matt, are these the same bolts you and I discussed? If so, we're you able to get a second set?
