1989 Toyota FJ62 Land Cruiser For Sale
Well, the time has come, and I am selling my beloved FJ62. This truck has no rust and is in excellent condition. It lived its life in the very dry Palm Desert area and was taken care of from day one. I acquired it from a friend who collects them and decided to upgrade some tired OE components along the way. It passes California SMOG with no issues and is extremely roadworthy. Some of the items I have recently upgraded include: Complete suspension kit from Cruiser Outfitters - Deluxe Kit: Old Man Emu Heavy Leafs Front, Medium Rear, All new bushings, shackles, sway bar extensions and bushings, Nitro Shocks (Soft), Steering Stabilizer and 555 Steering Linkage/end-links and all-new hardware on all of the items noted above. Of-course...
I’m looking for a solid truck with stock bumpers, shiny bits in tact and reasonable “10 foot” paint. Miles between 100k and 300k. Prefer tan or white will consider any color. 2” lift. Stock wheels. Doesn’t need to pass smog or be totally original. Swaps welcome (trans, engine or both). Spending up to 20k. Could stretch for something excellent. And I live in Maine so I expect I’ll have to ship.
Looking for a clean (zero to little rust), reliable (starts up when needed no major mechanical issues) and well running FJ60 or FJ62. ]Not looking for a huge project and not looking for a show truck. Want a fun, reliable weekend run around for upstate NY. Would prefer a manual trans & Left Handed Driver. 2.5" Old Man Emu suspension lift kit , cold A/C and upgraded bumpers would be good too. PM me with what you have. Pics, details and price please. Cash buyer ready for the right rig! Will ship the perfect FJ, so send me what you have!
KY: 1984 FJ60
This truck has been my daily driver for the last two years so it runs and drives great. I’ve put in lots and lots of maintenance which I have records of. It's got some rust on the right rear quarter panel but its not terrible. There is also some rust on the bottom of the tailgate. The frame has no rust. I had a leak in the roof that I finally tracked down to a small hole in the drip rail. It has been repaired and has been bone dry since. Here are some of the new parts I've put on recently. New Old man Emu suspension SCS wheels Toyo Open country MTs. 285/75/17s steering box steering link brake master cylinder headlights steering stabilizer new battery windshield Really nice stereo with JL speakers, amp, and kicker sub dash...
SOLD: '84 FJ60 Project San Diego
This was a father-son project that dragged on. We had this rig, known as "the Beast", trucked out from Albequerque with its blown engine. I know, who's heard of a 2F gernading? Well, I've got the proof. Anyway, we put in this CA emission 2F obtained from RSO Performance out of a parts rig. Then life intervened. It's currently at West Coast Cruisers in Ramona, CA. It's close to firing up but needs a few things hooked up and stuff like battery, cooling hoses, etc. We'd let it go for a no-haggle, no-hassle $2K. Pass it on if you know another guy who needs just one more Land Cruiser project. And bring a trailer! Thanks, Scot Message me here on Mud, or 858-395-seven nine five eight and leave a message.
SOLD - Seattle: 1989 FJ62
My original trusty cruiser. Dad bought it in 2003, and mine since I turned 16. Its been in the midwest so there is rust underneath and on the rear wheel wells. Engine runs great, and I swapped transmission a couple of years ago and had the transfer case rebuilt (note: not a new transmission). It leaks oil and transmission fluid, and always has. 261k miles. Interior is in great shape except for the carpet in the trunk which is torn up. See pictures for rust spots: Both rear wheel wells, lower rear tailgate, under rear window, and door corners . Inspected by TorFab a couple years ago and I have the write up available. Car is desmogged, but all parts are still available. Rebuilt title: If you see that dent in the front fender. That...
Midland, TX 1987 JDM HJ61 - SOLD
So here's the deal on this rig: I never planned on selling it - ever! However, we found out we were having a surprise third kid and it won't fit 3 car seats... It's been my 100% every day daily driver for three years and weekend warrior to the NM mountains on family camping trips pulling around my M416 trailer. I'll try and be as transparent and honest about it as possible as I'm sure the ultimate new owner won't be local. - I'm asking $20,000 which I think is reasonable; the flow of these things from Japan (especially in this configuration) has essentially come to a complete halt in the last 2 years Description: 1987 HJ61 - right hand drive 24V purchased from Tokyo Toyota. It has ~305K KM on it. It appears to have been brought...

This is a rare Land Cruiser that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the states. Very good condition for the year, with small interior/exterior blemishes and very little rust. 1986 FJ60 - Clean (Indianapolis)
I purchased this rig in August 16' from a fellow MUD member. It is a southern truck; originally Texas, then North Carolina, to South Carolina... then to me in Indiana. In the three years I have owned, it has been garaged and only been driven on nice days (no ice/ snow/ salt). It had 260,000 miles when purchased and is coming up on 264,000. This cruiser was built by WHG423 and followed by many on this site. For transparency, I will include WHG423's posting and build archive. Please see links, below. The details included are better (and more revealing) than I could provide. Note: When I see other cruisers up close, I am reminded of how nice this truck is and the quality work (and love) that WHG423 put into the build. It does not...
