1984 Fj60 on Ebay - Caveat emptor
Folks, Another day, another questionable 60/62 pops up on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-FJ60/312701363890 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 JT3FJ60G2C0046252 Claimed Odo = 88000 What you've got is either a broken Odo (for 20+ years) OR the flipper rolled it all the way back to the last reported reading. There are multiple emissions testing reports after the last Odo reading. The truck didn't float on a magic carpet to the emissions testing station. 60 Seats don't need recovering after 88K miles. Where did the choke control go? The seller is using a fresh 0 feedback Ebay account. They are not new to the car selling business.
85 FJ60 on BaT
No affiliation. Posting this to see if there are any opinions on the Odo claim. Seller is claiming 63K miles. The Carfax for this rig is without question the least useful I have ever seen. Two entries. Never seen such a thing. Seller hasn't posted any records supporting the mileage claim. My BaT account is moderated, so most of my questions and comments do not get published. I am extremely curious about how the seller can support this mileage claim. But TBH, after one day, the bidding has already reached BaTshyte crazy levels, considering this is a repaint and doesn't appear to have any records. Many of us are familiar with this flipper. He enjoys a fair amount of notoriety due to being featured once on Leno's utube channel...
Mudders, One of the usual suspects is back at it again. Using yet a different ebay user name. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-FJ60/223556871777?hash=item340d072661:g:NEUAAOSw7kxdCaMK VIN JT3FJ60G4F1128076 He's using the ebay ID vintagehunter1979 I'm not going to publicly reveal how I figured out that this is the same guy, since he has lots of Mud IDs as well, despite being banned for being a total and complete dirt bag thief. If you don't know about this guy, please go ahead and read these thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/buyer-beware-fj62-on-ebay.1112869/ https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/cruisershack.1047800/ There are MANY other threads on Mud, as well. Based on his history of bad deeds, you can...
1987 HJ60 H55F A/C Diesel Swap Donor Rig
Selling my Krusty Cruiser. Here we have a well loved 1987 HJ60 with 369000 km on it. It was resurrected once about 10 years ago due to a blown motor. I had bought it with a blown 2H and then installed a very nice JDM 2H with unknown KM on it at approximately 329000km and it has performed flawlessly since and continues to do so. I have recently done a compression test, valve set, oil change etc. on it and the compression tested out very well and even with 440 Psi + on all cylinders, it runs super smooth and performs well. The rest of the drive line, brakes, steering etc. are all in great working condition and have been well maintained over the years. The springs are unknown but a bit taller than stock with longer JDM shackles...
Cary, NC 1983 FJ60
146,000 miles $9,600 I have decided to sell my 1983 Toyota FJ60. The original game plan when I bought the vehicle last year was to ultimately bring it to a friend's body shop in FL for a restoration, but life has gotten a bit more complicated with two kids in college :) I purchased the vehicle from whom I believe was the second owner. It's been a NC vehicle since new, according to the Carfax that I have. The previous owner parked the vehicle in 2009, with the intention of "restoring it someday". That day never came, and I purchased it in 2018. I had my mechanic do what was necessary to get the vehicle operational for the road. This included a host of new parts, including: Shocks all the way around, plus steering damper...

Montana: 1984 FJ60 $12500
For sale is this 1984 FJ60 Toyota Landcruiser. The landcruiser has 293,000 total miles on it, but the V8 conversion only has 70,000 on the motor. It as a Goodwrench Chevy 350 V8 crate motor with an Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor with manual choke. The starter has been replaced. The original transmission and transfer case were swapped out a few years ago for a solid stock unit that only had 130,000 miles. The 4 speed transmission is also mated to a Ranger overdrive unit giving each gear a 27% overdrive. It is great for highway and off road gear selection. When I installed the replacement transmission and transfer case, I installed a new Centerforce clutch kit and had the flywheel reground. A new clutch master and slave cylinder were also...
2 1984 FJ60's Up for Sale
I am clearing out my collection of FJ60's and I have 2 left. The ones that are left are the cream of the crop. Both have been serviced to the nines by my Toyota certified Master Technician. He has been working on these beasts for 40 years. He knows his stuff. Both of these are western US vehicles so they are very solid. See the craigslist link for pictures and details. I am glad to answer any questions. Except for maybe "What is the meaning of life" or something like, "Why does my dog not growl at the mailman but he Does growl at me?" Stuff like that is beyond my pay grade. Thanks for looking https://asheville.craigslist.org/ctd/d/morganton-1984-toyota-fj60-landcruiser/6907722849.html
1986 FJ60 Very Clean, Low Mile-Indiana
I am selling my very clean '86 FJ60 with only 134k miles and no rust. Lots of documentation and pics to follow. Color is 8B2 used '86-'90. Through Auto Check (pic of copy below) and conversation from the PO, this 60 started life in Colorado for 13 years, then Lexington KY for 9 years, then Atlanta for 7 years then to me in March of 2015. Just like my 40, I bought this LC off a trusted Mud member. Since March of '15 I have only put 800 miles on it. When I bought this it was already in great shape, I have since made it even better, detail below. Sometime before the Mud member I bought from it had been repainted, he wasn't sure of when so sometime before 2008 and this paint still looks real nice and durable. When I bought it, it had a few...
Chicago (Downers Grove) : 1988 FJ62 w/ Vortec
This is a pretty well documented forum truck. I had it shipped up from Florida in 2015. It originally started life out in Missouri before that. I basically cruise it around town in the summer and park it in the winter. Odometer shows just under 232,000. I'm not 100% sure how many miles are on the engine and trans, but I think the build thread mentions 41,000 at time of swap, so my guess is less than 80,000 on them. Original swap thread is here: Another cruiser gets a vortec 2003 5.3L Vortec & 4L60E w/ TCI shift kit Harness and ECU from Fuel Injection Specialists 4L60E adapters from Advanced Adapters Center drop headers from Advanced Adapters Only running front O2 sensors, no cats Downey front driveshaft, both driveshafts modified...
1985 FJ60, 1 owner, 71K orig. miles, ARB outfitted! $36K Firm
Hi guys and gals. This is a 1-owner, no-accident, clean CarFax, California/Colorado truck that has been maintained to the highest standard. Prior to its outfitting and restoration this truck was absolutely 100% rust free; please inquire to see pre-restoration pics. This truck spent the majority of its life in California prior to the owner moving to Colorado. It was owned by a school teacher that lived only a few blocks from his school, so he walked to work most of the time, hence the low miles. Prior to our purchase it had just received new brakes, bearings, distributor cap, battery, fuel pump, air filter and a rebuilt carb. A compression test was performed and all cylinders are at or above 150. It still has all of its original...
