I purchased this rig in August 16' from a fellow MUD member. It is a southern truck; originally Texas, then North Carolina, to South Carolina... then to me in Indiana. In the three years I have owned, it has been garaged and only been driven on nice days (no ice/ snow/ salt). It had 260,000 miles when purchased and is coming up on 264,000.
This cruiser was built by WHG423 and followed by many on this site. For transparency, I will include WHG423's posting and build archive. Please see links, below. The details included are better (and more revealing) than I could provide. Note: When I see other cruisers up close, I am reminded of how nice this truck is and the quality work (and love) that WHG423 put into the build. It does not look or drive like a 33 year old truck. I consider this truck "Daily Driver" worthy/ ready and would not hesitate to head out on a trip with my family. I routinely drive the truck to work in downtown Indianapolis.
Improvements post WHG423; pesky vacuum leak fixed at Toyota dealership (new intake manifold and carb gaskets), new OME Lift Kit, new 33" KO2's, A/C converted to R-134a and charged, new OEM windshield, windows tinted, and driver seat vinyl professionally repaired/ replaced.
As you will see in the pictures, the clear coat is peeling on the hood and top of truck. The only thing the truck needs is paint.
