So my 88 Cruiser had the thermostat go bad so I replaced the water pump all the coolant hoses, hose clamps, water temp sensors, belts, along with the thermostat and a few other things. I filled the cooling system with coolant and went to start it to bleed it and the truck was idling at like 400 maybe 500 RPM and would stutter and die. It won’t start unless I give it gas and if I take my foot off the pedal it will die when I replaced one of the water temp sensors. It came with a new style plug so I had to get a pigtail to wire it into the harness and I’m wondering if maybe I got this backwards? I would assume that Blue is negative but maybe someone can chime in.

I double checked all the vacuum hoses and nothing seems to be out of order so I’m not really sure what’s going on here. I didn’t do anything that would cause it to not idle. It actually used to idle too high before I did this project. I did also take the battery out and put a new one in m. Not sure if that could’ve caused something.
