In need of a 1979 up body/tub or whole project cruiser for restoration of a stock 1979 FJ40. Tub needs to be buildable or better.
1973 Toyota FJ-40 LandCruiser for sale. This cruiser runs, drives and also looks good. I bought to drive it as is, but would truely be great candidate for a full resto. This cruiser also has the rare PTO driven winch in working condition. There are alot of other parts not pictured here that are also included with this vehicle: Matching Hardtop, Matching hard doors, full soft doors, full soft top, lift shackles, rear spare tire holder, rear side seats, bin of extras/etc.). I really do not want to sell but I really haven't messed with it in a while. I have been storing this in my father's garage for the past year or so and now Dad says wants to make room for his 1935 Hudson Hotrod that will be comming in soon.

This Cruiser has been sitting for about 3 years. It’s Mustard Yellow and is stock as a box of rocks. No hacks, no mods, no surprises. I bought it about a year ago but have 3 other project vehicles demanding my attention. Need to find someone who will put it back on the road, it’s a very easy project.
Previous owner stated that it was his wife’s and that it ran and drove excellent until she got divorced from her previous husband and maintenance stopped on the vehicle. It then ran low on oil and spun a rod while she was driving it. I have a replacement engine that comes with it.
The odometer reads right around 86k miles which I believe is accurate based on pedal and other wear items. Everything is there, hard-top, doors, roll-bar...
I just got this a few weeks ago. Sight unseen from my brother. Looking at it more in the garage I am going to pass on it. I spent 5 years building the one I have and dont have another 5 to spend on this one.
overall I would say the truck is a 3-4 out of a 10. What I know is the guy who had it worked at a 4x4 shop in NW lower Mi, he ran out of money and needed to get rid of this. Why a 75 title, I have no idea. read under odd. yes I know the bezel is upside down.
This is not the OEM Mint 40 everyone is looking for, Its a trail rig at best. or better for parts.
The BAD: there is frame rot at the driver rear spring perch, it will need to be boxed or repaired.

1977 FJ 40 for sale , This Cruiser runs great , has a weber carburator , header, newer clutch , it has a disc brake front end , factory roll bar, jump seats nice front seat orginal but need to be recovered. Has a complete top good shape, Cruiser has rust but repairable. Swing out tire carrier. this cruiser always starts right up it needs a new life, dave at Rockntag@msn.com I have to sell one of my cruisers soon, if you want pictures thanks.

I thought $14 or $15k seemed like a fair price. But Admittedly I don't know much about the 40 series rigs. It has a rear bench seat instead of jump seats, no seat belts in the back. Their is a hairline crack about 1/2 inch long in the passenger side lower front corner of the hood. I was rebuilding this to make it my daily driver, but do to our new baby I must sell. I have spent over $5000 in parts alone on this in the last 3 months. I have only driven it about 50 miles since the work has been done. I have the rear jump seats and they are in good condition.

For Sale is a unique FJ40. It was rebuilt from the frame up in 1998 by Land Cruiser Connection in Northern Virginia. The chassis is entirely fiberglass, a one piece tub manufactured by Gozzard Composites (Canada). The tub is gel coated on the inside for further protection, and has drain plugs that you can remove when you hose down the interior.
