Visor install is a separate issue, you may have the visor mount flipped 180, either on the visor or the provided mount base both are not symmetrical.

That's is the early year or fj80 visor clip, you ordered the later year fzj80...
Early one has the screw on the opposite side and tends to split.

They are more like $300. I agree. This work should have been done by Rosen. The aluminum hardware would cost me more than that to have made, so at least I'm able to customize the lenses to my own liking.
Here is what I came up with. I special ordered a 'dark grey' transparent cast acrylic sheet. It is more along the lines of a light welding helmet shade whereas I would describe the Rosen lenses as a not so dark sunglasses shade. I had to order...

If the screws don't catch then it's an issue with your sheet metal. Not the visor clips, Some one probably overtorqued it and made the hole bigger. So you are going to need larger diameter screws.
