2006 / GX470 - non-NAV

Do you know where that CAN J/C junction connectors are located to tap CANH / CANL for Android radio needs? I can't do it from DLC3 connector, it is hard to access.
I can't find it at place EWD indicates and other places too (behind driver/passenger side panels etc)

Can you explain what this is needed for on the Android radio? Curious if it helps with the CAN functions that are missing from the Joying HU

One could query many data by accessing vehicle CAN bus (CANH/CANL) via CANBUS box and display them on their Android HU, like it is done in Techstream, Torque Pro etc.

For GX470 and Prado 120 is important, because Chinese manufacturers of CANBUS boxes always mention that those vehicles have "no CAN bus to connect to", which is not true, they actually mean that GX470/Prado120 stock HU connectors (CN472, CN801) have no CANH / CANL lines, only AVCLAN Tx/Rx.

For that reason they not only cut CANH / CANL wires for their CUNBUS box connector, but also cut firmware, thus even by adding later CANH / CANL line to CANBUS connector, you still can't get data since firmware doesn't support access to vehicle CAN network.

But now it is came out that CAN junction connector is located right behind the stock HU, so CANBUS box manufacturers could add 1 more F connector like on picture to their harnesses to connect CAN J/C above for querying data from vehicle CAN network (trip info, tpms, temperature, sensor data etc.)

Since this is not yet done, we could do it manually and what is important when you buy CANBUS box do not tell them that your vehicle is GX470, you will receive cut version, buy those (Prius, Camry) which really come with CANH/CANL lines and therefore have appropriate CAN access firmware.

Great info! I'm going to try this on my Joying Android HU in the next few weeks. Would love to see some of the features that I can currently use on my Jeep with a Joying HU.

Yes, there are 4 free ports
I have done Android HU typical connection diagram for GX470/Prado 120 non-nav too :) enjoy

P.S.
Of course check pins of your actual POWER,CANBUS,HU connectors before making changes/connectons
- Modern Android HU have 16 pin power connectors, but pins could vary
- CANBUS 16 or 20 pins (as shown on the diagram), double chek pins, cheneese manufacturers make mess there

and of course CANH/CANL is a twisted pair cable
and of course note any improper access to the CAN bus may result in severe system malfunctions and potentially hazardous consequences.
