It’s Norman’s 46th birthday today.

I’m very proud to have become the caretaker of this awesome machine.

Here’s to many more years…

Thanks pal!

Fixing her up to drive to SAS.

She is an amazing truck.

That soft top fits beautifully..!

Bigger man than me. I needed to give my ears 30 minutes to reset every time I drove my ‘66.
I don’t mind the noise, I don’t think it’s too loud. I usually listen to audiobooks r podcasts with my earbuds anyway. I don’t have them turned up too much so I can still hear other things around me.

Maybe it’s the sweet dulcet tone of the 2F?

Other than waiting over 40K to adjust the valves the first time I did not notice mine being that noisy. Even with a set of Ground Hawgs on it but I noticed those tires on a 1/2 ton Dodge. The Dodge was actually worse with the exhaust leak and air leaks between the doors and pillars. There is a song about hating a Dodge truck but I don't miss the one I had.

I mean… maybe. Although, my 60 is also super noisy/rumbly/vibe-y even with sound deadening on all but the roof. Not sure what that’s about. Only stuff I haven’t replaced is the mounts. Unless it’s the transmission…

Radiator Nuevo New
Big day. She definitely needed the new radiator I picked up a few months ago. So stoked things like this are available still. Threw a new fan clutch on too but held off on the new water pump as the old one wasn’t leaking and all the after market junk I’m not ready to deal with.

Rhubarb juice going in?

Uncle T is nice enough to include this drain cock on these new radiators. Went for a drive last night to my proving grounds and let her idle for awhile in the heat. Temps are nice and cool with no leaks…

I think the Zia on the bumper will bring you good luck. I've had a Zia on my Cruiser almost as long as I've had a Steal Your Face, and they never let me down in the Past.

This one too:

There are a lot of options. My original steering wheel was showing it's age with cracks and upgraded to power steering and didn't need the diameter. I found a steering wheel for a later series Land Cruiser with out the extra electrical components that were not needed.

I didn’t realize he had air conditioning lol
It’s never worked since I’ve owned the truck. Every time I’m in there I consider yanking all that junk out.

Then sometimes I go down the rabbit hole of converting it to whatever the sauce of the day is then have another beer, button it all back up and forget about it until the next time.
