What did you do with your 60 this weekend?

Yes, I am easily amused! On the H55F FJ62, updated the brackets at the firewall to hold all three metal brake lines. On a side note, I am on/off road again and the best part is no leaks!

Several things...

Wire wheeled/removed old and cracking seam sealer in the bottom of the front doors. Used 3M Heavy Bodied seam sealer and then painted Freeborn Red with my compressor and mini spray gun. Installed new rubber door molding, both sides.

Drained the gas tank, inspected the inside with my boroscope.

The black spots on the door are wool wax from another day that I need to clean up :)

Started adressing the roof rust this weekend after finishing up some floor patches. I've read HokieLx's thread several times and I am very tempted to remove the whole roof skin. Theres not a spec of rust on the drivers side (at least on the roof skin), just on the passenger side and above the rear hatch in two spots. I havent pulled the windhsield yet, but pretty sure there is going to be some small spots on the upper windshield area that will need to be adressed as well. Everything that is rusted to my eye is the gutter lip piece and the backside of the roof skin. If the inner structure is solid in all the spots that have been opened, do yall think im ok to flood all those areas with Ospho, prime it and patch it up? This isn't a show car but i plan on keeping it for a long time. Want to hear your opinions. Thanks!

Proving yet again my amazing driving skills getting bogged down with my kids.

Amazing offroading with friends and tackled rockcrawling for the first time with my 60.

It wasn’t in there that long but it is still funny! This came out of a 62-series, drag link, in place of the “ball seat”! 🤣👍

Damn, dream build there. Cool rollers, I've never seen that before. I bet that makes it a lot easier to move around.

Gave Betty a bit of a clean, including tackling some rust on the the wheels and rear bumper. The wheels came out better than the bumper. Also got after the grab bars. I used a dreidel bit on my cordless DeWalt, and seemed to work well. i was careful not get too close to @CenTXFJ60 work of art headliner job. I'll go back with some Qtips or some such. An aside, I might have gotten the worst paint job evah ... after going over it by hand, I can see just how bad it really is. Might have to think about getting it resprayed here after this one starts showing its true color(s). :/

*Dremel* ... German Fat Fingering strikes again. Dang, that sound like a really bad porn movie.
My mind read "dirndl" at first and I had a good lederhosen joke lined up.

What was your method on the rust removal of the wheels?

Let’s hear it!

@zeeklafreek “German Fat Finger Strikes Again” does kind of have a ring to it like Ian was saying …. 😬

Be careful or I'll post some pics with me in Lederhosen :p ... and my wife in a dirndl.
I own my grandfather's and my great grandfather's Lederhosen, we should start a gang.
