Cleaning, stripping, priming, and painting my '63.

Welded in panels for a '74 my dad owns to make it a panel delivery and figuring out what we want to do for a rear door.

Tripped over the rear axle to my '69.

I am going to polish them a little more and probably wax them or clear coat them. I fear the clear coat will discolor over time so wax might be the best way.

If you can find it, "AutoSol" works awesome. Combined with a buff and a die grinder and you'll be :hillbilly:.

It both cleans and protects. I'd use wax as well.

(Paint stripper will remove clear cote.)

Removed my old tire carrier and sold it off (going to build a dual swing-out bumper). Not much else going on with this crappy weather.

If you were in driving distance I would take you up on those, that one in the picture looks so much better then most of them up here that have not been restored.

Had a look on the map, he looks to be within driving distance for you:hillbilly:. (Too bad there aren't better roads.)

Hop in your 40, and go pick up some parts.;p

X2

Shipping would be the killer. If I was down in Florida, I'd be looking into how to get them from across the Gulf of Mexico.

Across the gulf, maybe I can hire these guys to import a few
boatcruisers.webp

Bet they'd work cheap.

worked on

I changed out the optical disk and eye on my distributor installed crane cams eye and disk as well as a ballast resistor and a new crane cams ps20 coil

Fixed the OBA system, unstuck the winch cable, replaced a burned out brake light and fixed a wiper motor issue.

Got a pile behind the shop, Free if you want them, got a troopy body to thats pretty easy to repair,

I tell you what, maybe the next big order that takes place, I may just take you up on that troopy. (to save a little on shipping) Keep me in mind when the time comes. Seriously...

What I have I done this week...

I was busy this week. I replaced, repaired, painted, and cleaned a lot of old and worn parts,

Radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses, heater hoses, fan belts, door weather stripping, passenger side door window, gas tank, rubber fuel lines, battery. I also bought new tires and wheels. I also took out the bench seat and put the jump seats back in.

Ok, maybe not all this week...:D

Hey you,
Agree with Theo, nice truck! Did you have any more info about that storage box behind the front seats please?

Thanks,

I have one just like it; mine is a Con-Ferr locking box that sits just behind the seats. I use it to hold an auxiliary fuse block and tools.
