Installed and treated my canvas top (Canvac). Hooked up the trailer and took the wife to the Mojave desert. I think a RTT may be in our future.

Had the "You're spending too much time with your Landcruiser" talk with the wife, so the cruiser bought her some flowers :)

Traced the bad ground to the ARB compressor, ran hose to the ARBs (leak check tomorrow), cleaned the 8274 solenoids and replaced the wiring, reinstalled choke cable.

I'm going to go through my doors today and see if there is anything I can do to derattle them I guess...........

If you figure out how to make them stop rattling please let me know. Mine drive me crazy, so today I just took them off.

Repaired and installed the M8274 and installed the green synthetic cable, installed the blue air hoses on my ARBs and leaked checked and tested them, installed a choke cable, new driveshaft bolts, new fuel filters, repaired the left rear rock light.

Finally installed my "ultimate console" which includes cupholders & heat for my rear passengers!!!

CB & Stereo installed in Front and new arm padding from the Boneyard (definetly worth the $3.99 charge)

Locks and heater grill - this weekend.

What kind of vehicle did the arm pad come out of? Looks good.

Are you using the stock heater?

I sourced another carb and made a new fuel line to feed it. First time I've touched the beast in months.

I'm needing to do that for the FJ45LV. Got any pointers? The wing windows were missing on one side and glued in on the other with all the hardware missing  I sourced the hardware, now I need to get the glass and fix up the windows. Did you use weatherstrip in the pivotting frame? I have the weatherstrip that is in the door that the window closes into.

Plus took apart and "restored" a wing window.

I fabbed up a proper battery hold down for the FJ55 this past weekend. No more batteries "slip slid'n away".

There is a gasket for the wing windows. If I remember correctly, the right side is still available from Toyota. The left side you need to get from SOR.

Thanks,

"90-something" Volkswagen Jetta with leather seats - (From rear passenger seat center arm rest). Almost felt bad for pulling it from a full back seat in good condition.

But it's in a better home now!

Stock heater with minor modifications - Nice havin the "extra" heat back...

Installed a new alternator last night.

removing hinges from windshield, taking frame down to metal an starting with everything new.(except glass) so it begins with two broken hinges, bolts snapped off in windshield frame, what a bugger..just orderd a set from spectar for $200, hinged replacements, they look stock an should get those wednesday. no rust as of yet. found that previous owner just used silicone as a gasket between frame an body,,what a joke..the gasket only cost $200- an tadaa its back to sealed correctly..whata nimrod, lucky it didnt just rust. just dont understand why people do it the cheap incorrect way sometimes.
so now its off to the hardware store to find a stripped out screw remover for the windshield screws..

Finally got around to installing a grab bar for the passenger in the '83. It's the one from the '79 and the dashes are different so it ended being more complex an operation than one would have expected.

installed my orion yesterday :D

only issue was the bottom left mounting bolt that attaches tcase to tranny.
clearance is real tight (due to gear), which prevents me from getting an accurate torque reading.

I think the solution, would be to replace the hex with an allen head.
anyone know of a source for one?
size M12x1.25x35mm

thanks

Finished fabbing and installing the 1.5" body lift. Not crazy about it, but necessary to run my new drive train. Next is to build & install the sliders, then lay down the rust bullet. Been a long time in coming...
