A fellow Mudder, 4Rnr, did that up for me. It's a little similar to a commercially available cage but has some definite differences. The side hoops come from the floor to the rear hoop but curve in significantly before they connect to it. The roof bars are triangulated to add strength, not perpendicular in other cages. The side hoops conform to the dash with only three bends and there is a slight hump in the main rear hoop where the two roof supports meet it. The cage has some pretty sweet lines to it as well when you look at it from a few different angles. If I ever want to get "stupid", I can add in more tubing if I want.

The front tires are Goodyear 35x12.5x15 MTR's on an SOA. I'll be adding two more Goodyears to the rears shortly when more of my cash frees up.

received and installed my CCOT rear hatch lever and dropped my tranny off at the tranny shop to be torn down and assessed. awaiting my AA output shaft for install and new Edelbrock 600cfm carb.

which cruiser????

fj60 extracab ute=got 302 clevo,5speed and transfer off the trailor bare handed and into the shed whilst i wait to buy an engine hoist to put it back in the cruiser,i originally bought the complete conversion kit to put in my hj 60 but was offered the extracab fj 60 cheap a couple of months later so jumped on it.

i loaded now empty trailer, onto my dd fj60 wagon and drove 600 km,s to pick up an 77 hj45 ute cab, with doors and back window section to replace rusted cab on my project, has a rusty drivers floor section, but will replace with floor from old cab, plus only cost 100 all up so worth the drive

and pondered if ill ever get any finished by doing a few at once

I finished enough of my 40 to take it on its' maiden trail run tomorrow morning! Test drove it tonight and I'm quite happy with the results! Let's see what the trails do to it tomorrow. It's been a long road but oh so worth it!

Actually drove the 40 for a (no pun intended) 40 mile tour. No issues, except the "wandering". Still waiting on the caster shims from man a fre.

PhilC64: it's folks like you that keep the rest of us wrenching. I've been working on my LC for the past ~18mos, and still no 'maiden voyage', some days it seems like it's never going to come.

That being said, finished fabbing and installing my sliders, and welded in some safety chain loops for my new tow-hitch bumper.
