Casey was the Treasurer for the whole TLCA. And he did a great job. He was fiscally conservative, and you could count on him make sure that TLCA stayed solvent. IOW, he didn’t let his enthusiasm for the sport infect his judgment ( not that I’m implying that anyone else did).
Casey did me a huge favor once, dragging a disc brake axle that I bought from a MUD member from Iowa to the Lone Star Roundup in Texas. That was the year of the monster storm at K2. While I hadn’t planned on doing anything with it except dismantling it to put on the roof rack on the Karma Cruiser, the axle was disbursed on site.
