A lot of folks like to tear down an engine and look for the problem. I like to try and id the problem so I have sn idea what I'm looking for. Sometimes it's obvious.

@igotta40 can you post a picture of your tachometer (or what I’m assuming is a tach to the right of your gauge cluster). It looks good there.
Correct. There was a mini tach there when I bought the truck, but the vac gauge is more useful.Just guessing but I think that's a vacuum gauge indicating 0-30 in. of Hg.
Drilled out three rear bunperette bolts that PO snapped off and painted over. Installed new front bumper and gussets.
**Anyone know the right bolts for attaching bottom of bumper to lower gussets?
I remember clamping my brackets in a vice when I restored them. Lots of kroil and working them back and forth for hours to get them freed up. Started with a hammer to move them.Had to slide the track back and forth until I could grab the rear bearing cage with long nose pliers and pull it out, then get the front one out. It was tricky, because of all the dirt and surface rust. The frame rivets act as stops for the rollers.
