GOLD CAD Plated Yellow ZINC Teq METAL OIL CAPS , these WILL be online store by tonight ............
Well, I went to put them on the truck and there was a glitch. I had had W at Over The Hill 4x4 do me up some high steer arms about 15 years ago that cut the typical minuscule clearance on the tie rod ends down to nothing. But as the case was, my custom 15x8 rims only have 2” of backspacing, so I had plenty of room, not like when I put the high steer on the 45. Well, now I’m using the 15x8s that came off my Blazer I just sold, and they probably have the standard 3.75 backspacing.Bought some new treads for Ruftoys! View attachment 2830127
Any that fit a 3B diesel?

Fortunately, Mike Fields in MD (don’t remember his user name) put up some 1” wheel spacers in early 2019 for a very reasonable price, and I put them up one one of my famous ‘one of these days’ shelves in the warehouse. They made the truck all happy again. If you’re still out there, thanks again Mike!View attachment 2830204
I also put the softtop back on this morning for the first time in several years. Disheartened to discover that with only a short time left until my next trip, the top has several tears. WTF? It’s only 18 years old!![]()
That's what I like to see. E-coat after sheet metal work?View attachment 2830884Got word that my body is almost done at acid dipping. Excited to get it home next week and get the new floor built.

John, you know what they say: use it or lose it!Your scaring me Mark. Bought a new Kayline top back in 1994. Used with the bows and doors off my 73 FST a few times then put it away.

Cheap and used that one as wasn't as much about damage wheeling. Then stored that one away. Believe it was 2009 bought another set of used bows with a used black Kayline top. That I needs some zippers sown back to the top. Now I worried about #1 & #2. Still close to 90° here. Best to let them soften up outside before unfolding them. Now really curious of their condition. They have always be store inside a home which I'm hoping helps.
Nice. Hopefully the top is up to your high standards!I also put the softtop back on this morning for the first time in several years. Disheartened to discover that with only a short time left until my next trip, the top has several tears. WTF? It’s only 18 years old!
So having seen the positive report from @KingAir Driver about the TROA canvas the other day, I hopped on EBay and ordered myself one.. Won’t be here before the trip tho, so I’m sewing some patc into the old one to get me by. Sewing is not my specialty.
@fjl40 I’ll make sure and keep you posted, as I know you’re thinking about one too.
