This west-coast sleeper was originally purchased by the John Espil Sheep Co., then owned by Marv/SOR, then Steve Kopito, then Tom R, then I.
It was used in a few movies, TV episodes and commercials, including Toyota's 2021 Born From Invincible commercial, Escape from Bagdad, The Incredible Hulk, and Jag. Most of the major modifications were modified by Steve, then the drivetrain was further worked on by George Esterer. Current specs: 2H diesel; H55F; late model split-case w/4:1 low gear; twin-stick; PTO; full floaters; dual-Harrop ELockers; BJ70 front-end w/disk brakes; Aisin hubs; 3.73s; FJ60 PS/PB and rear backing plates; FJ45LV rear/auxiliary fuel tank; dual-battery with 24V/12V series/parallel switch; custom bow; Terrain Tamer HD clutch; Tom Woods driveshafts; Donaldson air filtration w/snorkel; AMSOIL bypass filtration; removable roll cage; Deaver custom springs on Bilsteins and greasable shackles on poly bushings; 16x6.5 custom steelies on 255/85s; LEDs; USMC drab (WW2 thru Vietnam era); soft top, hard top; full doors; half-doors...

Titled 65 production date 9/64 or 10/64 depending on how you read SOR's chart but I'm guessing 9/64.

Bought in Lincoln, CA in Jan. 96 from the brother of what I believe was the original owner who passed away. There were some real old reflectors that were stamped property of the county Lincoln in it.

SOR's chart which could be linkd in the first post to help others. http://www.sor.com/catframe.sor

Ok, I finally got around to doing the list! 4 hours later and we have something.I am not worried about current ownership, or location, I know these change hands alot,so we just need to document them. If you are not on here please chime in and I will add you to the list, or if anybody knows an lpb owner get me a vin! So far, 65 was a banner year for 45 lpb production. It really tapers off in 66 and 67.Earliest so far is living in the past with a late 64 build.

My 45 has does not have bug catcher vent windows should it? No rust or signs of a accident. Bought it eighteen years ago from what I believe was the bother of original owner who had pasted away. Original engine had been replaced with a early 2F but other than that everything was pretty stock.

As for SOR frame chart I believe the number is the first one produced that mont not the last making mine 9/64. I have four FJ40s post 3/69 which have a production date on the tag on the A pillar. All those show the number in the 40 chart to be the first one.:meh:

John, you should definately have bugcatchers with that build date, its the only doors toyota had at that time. They changed in late 65 to the center pivot style.
