Another extra large THANK YOU to Roger at City Racer LLC. I have been buying gaskets and weather stripping for my hard top as I have been financially able from Roger. Each time I order the order arrives in record time and until the last time there have been no problems. Evidently a small gasket fell out of the bag and as I hunted in the shipping box and in the area where it was opened I wasn't able to find the second one I ordered. Contacted Roger and without any questions he replaced it at no charge. Overall I believe his pricing is fair, shipping charges are fair and his customer service is exceptional. I wish more were like him here on MUD!

Ok. Pretty much all done, just a carb adjustment, and some buffing in a couple spots...

Some poser shots...

After about 30 hours of sanding and grinding over the past couple weeks, I got the frame painted just a couple of days before the temperature dropped into the 50's. Close call!

I didn't take the body off so there are some obvious places I didn't get to, but all in all I'm happy with the results:

I hit as much as I could with rust converter and encapsulator. The frame is pretty solid, hopefully some new paint will keep it that way for a few more years!

Almost ready for the driveline to go back in!

Test Drive.jpg

It's been a long road but finally success tonight! Finally got everything buttoned up and took her and the :princess: for a test drive this evening. Have to center the steering wheel and get my brakes situated but overall the drive was a success. A few people to thank for helping me reach this point of the repair/rebuild. Huge amount of thanks to @orangefj45 for rebuilding the transmission/transfer case and to Mike Dajda for holding my hand through the rebuilding process. Mike your one H#%% of a land cruiser mechanic and a great friend. Jim Ward my oldest friend and best overall mechanic, I've ever known. Thanks again to all of y'all and the beer is on me!

I need to look at the before pics a little more often. Progress has been slower than I'd like, but a little elbow grease and some paint does wonders. Here is a before shot (04/16) and the state under the hood today.

Also, jumped the starter and tried to turn it over for the first time since I bought it. No alternator and no gas, so it didn't start, but man... it sounded good cranking for a few seconds. I might actually pull this off.

@bwalker16527 Really like that arctic white, looks outstanding! I assume the bezel will get the same color? Rattle can or spray gun?

@bwalker16527 How did you find the right paint mix for Arctic White? Is it a Toyota Color? Thanks.
