I WANT TO RESTORE MY FACTORY EMBLEMS. I DONT LIKE THE NEW PLASTIC ONES.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE COLOR CODE IS FOR THE BEIGE AND RED?

JUST WANTED TO ADD A LITTLE BLING TO ORIGINAL FACTORY OXIDIZED PAINT, PRIMER IN SOME SPOTS AND PLENTY OF RUST IN OTHERS.

The top one is metal and the bottom one is "metalized" plastic. This is how they were and this is how they are today.

I wouldn't waste another minute thinking about restoring them when the new ones are readily available from the dealer.

I wouldn't buy it if you can restore it. I'm not sure what the color code is for them but someone on here does.

Awesome, I'm glad we can still order new ones, and I will add them to my wish list of parts from Santa. And install them after body work and new paint job.

But for now, I want to repaint my old emblems. Just to add a personal touch and some TLC. (Tender Love and Care)

And more masking

Then more paint. RED!!

Final product.

And finally, here is my material (less than $14) and tools I used. You might say that is a tooth pick and I"d say you are right, but it also makes a handy paint brush for small places. Note, the $14 does not include Jacks help! HaHa!!

I know emblems are available, but totally dig this. Nice work!

Great price man! $14 is cheap, new is nice but some time with "Jack" and working on the cruiser is priceless. I tend to prefer "Don Julio" nice work.

Thanks guys!! Im glad you all liked them too!! :bounce:I was really happy with how well they turned out!!

FWIW, Im not an artist or paint specialist.:cheers:

sweet ... may try that myself, after I do the switches/knobs ...

How do you plan on doing your switches and knobs?

there's a couple of threads on here where people have done it ... you can buy the paint i.e. white, red, in a stick format at a place like Michaels (a craft/hobby place) ... takes a bit of patience but you seen to have mastered that ... I can't see the lettering on a couple of my switches ...

Excellent work, going to have to get out the Jack next time I get into the details!!!!!! Probably settles the nerves....................
