Thanks Johnny C. I keep forgetting the E is suppose to be backwards. I'll get it corrected tonight!

Started our frame off restoration!!! I used a GoPro to make a timelapse of the whole teardown, here is a picture of the team from the beginning. Left is my Uncle Pete, I'm in the middle, and my dad Mike is on the right. I'll be posting the whole video up on my build thread in a couple of days once I've edited it.

By the way, here's some engine porn. Can anyone identify this for me? It's a turbo 4 cylinder, sitting in the shop we're working at. Is it from a Land Cruiser?

Hmmmmmmm. What did I do this week? Spent money!!! Purchased new upper and lower dash pads and found (absolutely lucky find) year appropriate jump seats. They should all be here in the next week and then I will really have something to say!!!

SWEET motor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cleaned the garage(again!). Good news- I can walk all the way around the cruiser for the first time in years.
Wife told me to get moving on putting it back together and just buy a new aqualu tub. Now I just need to find the money...

I want your tire groover! Have you ever tried a siping attachment with it? How long did it take to do all 4!

Pete
The tire groover I have works awesome. I was finished all four in just under two hours. I haven't tried siping with it yet

Put a new float valve in the Holley setting on the 2F, (it won't be there much longer), figured out why #1 wire wasn't firing all the time, set the timing, changed oil and filter, drained the tank and put fresh gas in it, ran the valves, tightened up the return spring on the carb, bolted back down the seats, lined up the rear doors, ran jump wire to the headlights and took her for spin.

So I decided to tackle my doors (finally). My 40 was born Dune Beige but repainted by PO in a much lighter shade. So I found some old style flat doors and thought I could color match them with close enough results. Wrong. Shame is, this was my third attempt at painting vehicles (or parts), and the best yet. Paint laid down fantastically and polished down very well. Just a shade off.

So now, I explore options.
#1 repaint everything factory 406 (not my favorite option obviously)
#2 repaint doors flat black to approximate my top color (easiest fix)
#3 rock these for the 2 months of the year I "need" doors
#4 any suggestions
